Chapter 26 Branwen was smiling and crying at the same time, and John wasn’t surprised to see Hugh doing the same. She held both his hands for a moment before they embraced. “Uncle Hugh. It’s so lovely to see you.” Hugh didn’t quite pick her up, but John almost saw it, like a grainy home movie. “I’ve been chatting with your young man here,” Hugh said, smiling at John. “You certainly have good taste.” She seemed a little confused, then looked back and forth between the two of them with a surprised smile.
