We heard werewolves howling from afar, then the person ran into the bush,
“Oh my god, we have been spotted. Get out of this town quickly please,” he said, as he ran to his car and drove off out of fear.
I went inside the bar, wondering what had just happened. As soon as I got into the bar, I saw some men looking at me. I could sense something familiar like the other night. Something tells me they were werewolves too. I walked to the bartender and said,
“Excuse me!”
“What? I'm also allowed to drink here, I own this place”, the drunk lady said.
“Stop drinking all of our beer gear, they are for customers,” Annabel shouted at her.
“Can I just get one of those beers?” I said to the drunk lady.
She stumbled away,
“So, what brings you here again?” the other lady asked.
“I noticed it's the only bar in town,” I replied.
“And how have you found our little town so far? Do you like it at all?” She asked with a smiling face.
“I find it strange, and it has got so many secrets too,” I told her.
She paused for a second and said,
“Yeah, well everybody has secrets of their own, do they?” She replied.
“Hey, ‘judgy’ whenever you decide to add some bottles, please tell me before you do it,” the drunk lady interrupts again.
After speaking, she closed the curtain and fell to the floor.
“Ain't you going to check if she's okay,” I showed some concern.
“That's as okay as she'd get,” she replied, not bothered.
“How could she even keep her job with this kind of behavior?” I asked.
“Well, it's difficult to fire your own sister.” She replied calmly.
“So you really own this place, huh! What are you, some kind of small town princess?” I asked jokingly.
“Small town heiress actually, because both of my parents are dead and this is what I inherited from them” she opens up to me.
“Oh um, I'm so sorry, both of my parents also died as well,” I tried to encourage her.
She mixed some drinks together into two cups and gave one to me,
“Tributes to both of our parents”
We drank together.
Later that night in the woods, some of Derek's pack captured Snot and took him to him in the middle of the night.
Scared out of his mind, Snot said,
“Hello fellas what's up?” with a scared shaking voice.
“I saw you talking to the kid Zack,” Derek said in a deep voice, slowly.
“What kid are you talking about?” Snot pretended like he didn't know who he was referring to.
“The one Peter has just hired to look at his farm.”
Derek replied.
At that point in time, they were in the woods in the middle of the night and there was no one to help my claimed cousin.
Surrounded by Derek's loyal pack, he was no match for any of them alone, there was no way he was going to take them on his own and survive it.
Derek was the most dominant werewolf in Beacon Hills and the most deadly too.
Both werewolves and humans fear him. He kills whoever dares him.
My terrified cousin was scared to death just talking to Derek and tried to buy himself some time hoping to delay his death.
“I saw you talking with the kid, working on Peter's farm earlier today”, Derek asked in a calm voice.
“Ohh that a**h**e,” Snot said.
“What exactly did you discuss with him?” Derek asks, and starts to walk towards Snot.
“I told him nothing”, he starts to panic and stammers. Then he added,
“Well, I told him to get out of town and go somewhere else.”
“Now, why would you tell him to do that hmm?” Derek demanded.
“Because I saw him talking to your girlfriend the other night in the bar, I felt like he was actually pissing you off” He replied Derek.
“I see, so you told him about me already?” Derek grew angry.
“No, no way I told him anything about you, believe me”. Snot tries to convince him.
With a dangerous smile, Derek replied,
“Thought I overheard my name.”
“Come on Derek, I would never do that. I just put it to him that, here in Beacon hills we don't like strangers and outsiders”, Snot insisted.
“You see, I have a problem here, Snot, because I think this kid is from one of the old lineages, maybe from down east or maybe synod city. What is bothering me is, why would Peter take him in as a helper and why a low-life drunk like yourself would be interested in him? I feel like you guys are keeping some valuable secrets from me”, Derek accused Snot.
“No, trust me, I would never hide anything from you, never!” He replied.
“So, you want me to believe that you didn't tell him anything about us, and you don't also know much about him?” Derek asked, with hands on Snot's shoulder.
“No come on Derek, you've got to believe me, men,” he said.
“All this has nothing to do with your brother, right or did you tell him anything about my pack and our deal?
He paused and couldn't answer then,
Derek grabbed his neck hard and said,
“You would tell me right away who the freaking boy is, huh, and what is he looking for here?
Derek held him tight, and squeezed his neck really hard and continued speaking,
“I'm going to force my claws into your joint and break your bones to the extent you won't be able to heal from it easily, if you don't tell me about this kid. I'll make sure mountain ash is attached to your wounds, so you don't heal.”
Snot couldn't take it anymore, then he confessed to Derek,
“I just tried to get him to leave this town to save all of us a lot of trouble.” Snot muttered a little.
“That sounds more believable,” Derek laughed and turned to his pack, still holding his neck.
Letting go of his neck, he said,
“Well, that means there's only one thing to be done, so you don't tell him my secrets before I finish him off.”
“No, please don't, I swear, I'm not going to tell him anything believe me Derek,” he begged, being scared to death.
“No Snot, you remember the promise your family made to me and the deal?” He said and walked to his pack
“We are going to have a night hunt, boys!” Derek announced to them and they shouted in curiosity,
“Yeah! Woo! Ya!”
“You already know how this works, Snot, run! Run! Run! Derek said, then started to count,
Terrified, Snot quickly started running into the woods. He stumbled severely on the way.
“One! Two! Three!”
