Rats devour anything that can possibly be devoured. Man doesn’t eat anything that rats wouldn’t eat either. They aren’t satisfied with this though, so even the dirtiest waste and excrement from human households as well as rotten carrions are a real treat to them. Unpleasant cases are also known to have happened, with rats biting even small living children.
