Chapter Ninety-Three. Leon lay in the thicket of a shrub under the window of Eva’s office. He had a feeling that the meeting with Safron and her uncle would be held inside there and had called that as his primary position so that he had eyes on her at all times. Clearly, Marco had searched the girls for devices, probably at the request of the uncle, however, even though he knew, he had let the listening devices and Safron’s tracker slide, not calling them out on it. Not that he didn’t trust Marco, but it was a relief that he did not request the girls to remove the devices, meaning that everyone could hear the conversation taking place, and listen in for the key words he had given all three of them to say if they needed them to get them out of the office.
