Chapter Fifteen. Safron’s eyes were wide with fear as she sat, her body trembling from head to foot, from the residual adrenaline from when the soldier confronted the agents. “Remember to breathe, Safron,” Leon said. The sound of her real name on his tongue, surprisingly, gave her a sense of warmth, a reaction that felt alien yet nice, yet managed to help calm her fractured emotions. However, she realised that she was, in fact, holding her breath.
