Chapter Twenty-Eight. Safron stood on top of a large rock looking out over a winding river, taking in the gorgeous scenery. It had been an effort to walk the hike, and she got the feeling Leon was going at a snail's pace for him, so that she didn’t feel quite so much of a hinderance. But the view was worth it. A sense of peace washed over her, something she was beginning to experience more and more, the longer she spent in the company of the special forces soldier.
