Chapter 2

I said a little prayer and then went to sleep.In my sleep I had a very weird and unusual dream.I waa in this big schoo and there were lot of people,different people and they were not of the same colour.They had different hair,dressed differently and spoke different languages and as I enter the school with my head down.No one looked at me,no one said anything about my ears and i was treated like a normal human like i have always wanted and wished.I even made friends and had a girl to my surprise.I got woken up by an alarm. Oh flip!It is 6 O clock already?I screamed and ran like a headless chicken downstairs to check on my gran but she was not in the kitchen preparing breakfast.I do not even hear anyone hitting the shower. My heart jumped out of my mouth,my stomach was tied in knots and my legs carried me to gran's room.Within a blink of an eye I was on her door and i ran to her.She welcomed me with a hug and asked me what is it that I wanted since i woke her up then I told her that I thought it was time.

Time to get ready for school."It was a prank i pulled on you when I came to check up on you last night and you did not notice a thing "she said.We both burst out of laughter and then I headed to my cosy room,I had two more hours.My grandmother is very good in pranks and i never get her back but I always tell her I will ,one day.I went to sleep and the dream was no longer there.I had a goodnight's sleep and was looking forward to school tomorrow,for a change.I have not felt like that in a million years.I woke up with a smile on my face because according to me,this is the day I get treated like a normal human being that I am.I did not even reflect on the first worst days I had all these past years.I bathe and went downstairs for breakfast and there is no uniform in highschool,not my kind of give but hey little change will not kill.I looked like an average kid even though my grandmother works under government.She said she does not want to spoil me because i will be lazy at school knowing that I have everything.I did not care much because there are people longing for what.I really appreciate her love and compassion she expresses towards me.

I ate breakfast,took my bag and ran to the door.As I was about to leave,my grandmother reminded me that I should pray in the mirror for whatever reason I do not know and each time I ask?I am told that I should go,I am running late.None of my questions get answered really but I am used to it,nothing new.I immediately went upstairs to my room,said a few words and then left with a goodbye,see you later.i was feeling a little bit different today,really.The school bus was late.I stood alone in my station because others were in groups.No one said anything about my appearance or should i say my "ears" that was just mainly because they have not yet seen them.Finally ,it arrived and we got into the bus.I was the last one and there was only one sit left.It was second row in the middle and occupied by two weird looking twins.They looked like aliens because of the costumes they were wearing and i guess that no one wanted to associate themselves with them.As I sat down I was feeling hot and then took the beanie off and the ears appeared,pointing.Everyone acted normal to my surprise.
