Her younger sister did not like one bit.She always chased me away whenever I came to her house.I asked gran to throw me a little get together for my birthday so i can invite Candy and her ugly sister.She did not agree because no one was going to come since i do not have friends in this town instead she will take me to the year's pumpkin festival and host my birthday there as other kids would love to join and eat the cake.It will be a nice gesture for everyone and that will make some of the kids to become friends with me.I was very astound that for the very first time in my life.I am going to be around a crowd,an accepting one I hope.I was very excited for the 24th of September which is my birthday and the day of the pumpkin festival.The pumpkin festival is the day when every individual in our town gather around for the harvesting of pumpkins.The harvested pumpkins are then donated to a home where abandoned children stay.It was a very nice gesture the kids at home.It is very imperative to plough pumpkins every year because there are people in need and we use the community garden.

Everyone volunteers.Indeef my birthday came and it was on a Friday.No school day.I woke up very excited since i was going to have the best birthday of all birthdays. I took a shower.I looked under my armpits for hair and little hair growing but it seemed I always had it but I was not noticing.I was not very pleased about that but i did not let it hinder me from being chuffed to bits on my birthday.I had put on my play clothes.I packed some for the party because I did not want to dirty them.As I was about to leave my room,I went to the mirror to pray.When I opened my eyes,I saw something red in my nose.It was a pimple but why red?It was like someone drew it or a drop of paint.I quickly ran downstairs to gran to show her my sudden red pimple on my nose."You are a teenager now,expect a lot of those from now on okay?some pimples get red ,some black and some are just like your skin"she said.I did not believe that because I have seen people with pimples before and this one is not normal.She prepared everything for the festival.

We are breakfast and then headed to the community garden.We got there and to my surprise,almost everyone was there and here was I thinking that we were early but instead we were late."Good morning,people welcome to the 16th pumpkin festival where we gather together to harvest pumpkin and donate it to our very own home in our home town.Today we are expanding to our neighbour town.St Williams and we have guests from there.everybody cheered up as the host introduced the guests.Everyone grabbed their tools and equipment they brought with them.We indeed harvested the pumpkins and they and they were enough for both homes to my surprise.We really are a good community even if scronies like Sam and Caleb paints us bad.After harvesting,men and us boys packed all the pumpkins in vans and they took to the homes to deliver.We came back and then freshened in.Everyone was chilling,after some hard work they had put in.I was with Candy all along and i had told her about my gran's plans and she said that she could not wait for the cake.I saw my grandmother talking to the host.They were probably whispering about my birthday celebration.I had already changed into my party clothes and man ,I looked fye.

My nose was very itchy and i was sneezing a lot but I did not focus on that a lot because I wanted to enjoy my birthday.My grandmother took over on the microphone.She announced that it is my birthday and she would like everyone to celebrate with me.i had so much exuberance in me as the host called me to the front.Everyone sang and cheered up for me and here was I thinking no one was going to participate in celebrating the boy with the weird ears's birthday.My gran brought the cake.It was huge and enough for everyone.Looked like my gran already planned it and i got two presents from Candy and her ugly sister.It was fine for me because i have never received any presents from anyone before.I was full of the joys of spring and it was all thanks to my gran.We all went home after the hard work day.I was tired.I took a bath and went to bed.The itching on my nose got intense to the point where I even put an ice pack on it but it still did not help.I slept still because there was nothing I can do.I closed my eyes for two minutes and i had this bad dream.
