He finally pulled away from her, his palms coming up to cover his face immediately. He blinked rapidly, his lips parting to allow him breathe. Hailey slowly propped herself up again, then gently removed his hands from his face.
The tear stopped just below his eyes, and she reached her thumb to it, wiping them off. She then reached forward, her lips a little puckered.
She placed a small kiss just below his right eye. His lashes fluttered close and she moved to the next eye, encouraged by his silent gesture.
She placed another kiss under his eyes, then moved away, her hand moving his hair. He let out a small breath, then opened his eyes to hers.
He let his eyes dart across hers, his hand coming up to her cheek.
"No lies, Hailey. Promise me."
He looked like he needed that promise to fun
