That night, Dominic still hadn't come back.
Linnea's phone buzzed with his message.
Dominic: Got an event tonight. Not coming back.
She typed back.
Linnea: Okay.
An hour earlier, she'd been scrolling through social media and spotted a post from Jesse, Dominic's loudmouthed buddy. The photo showed Dominic fussing over Sonya at a hotel.
The caption read: This is true love. Four years apart, and it hasn't changed a bit.
Back when she was desperate to break into Dominic's inner circle, she'd added Jesse and the others. Chances were they'd all forgotten she was still on their friends list.
