Envy’s eyes widened as she watched Trevor walking toward her pain free. Leaning over to look behind him, she frowned not seeing Devon anywhere.
“Don’t worry,” Trevor offered, “Devon will be alright once he figures it out.”
“And if not… sooner or later he will fall asleep,” Kriss said with a smirk then wiped the expression from his face when Envy turned the frown on him. “Just saying,” he held a hand up in self-defense.
“Jaguars can stay awake for a week if they try hard enough,” Nick mumbled loud enough for them to hear him.
“Nick,” Kat’s voice echoed in the suddenly silent room.
