Alex's Point Of View After about half an hour the tears started to dry up, and I spent a few minutes hiccuping and dry sobbing soundlessly.  There had been some banging at the door when Bethany had first left and I'd buried my head under the excessive amount of pillows that were on the bed so that I could ignore whoever it was trying to get my attention.  I had just wanted to wallow in my own self pity.  But that was over now.  It was probably around lunch time now which meant I had this afternoon and this evening to celebrate my birthday with Charlie.  After that I figured we were on borrowed time.  I crawled out of my bed and checked my reflection in the mirror, my eyes were red and swollen, my nose was blotchy and I had a big ugly cry face!  Yuck! Someone started to pound at my door.
