37 The cold air outside woke me up enough that I wouldn’t fall asleep on the drive home. The strings of holiday lights decorating homes and businesses didn’t help my mood. I couldn’t shake this chilling sense of foreboding. Maybe it was just lingering trauma from the shooting. Or unresolved anxiety from my bitter history with Barclay Dietz.
