Munroe Island

Chapter 4

As per directions from Alex, Appollo took the path adjoining the dilapidated building and started walking.

What kind of place is this, he fumed. Why is the motel so faraway from town?! Isn't there any place to stay in town? I must say today is totally my lucky day. Nothing seems to right.

He looked at his watch. 12 P. M. Fantastic! Perfect timing to visit a graveyard. Hope I will not meet any residents of that place on the way to the motel, he jokingly thought.

Appollo continued to walk towards the graveyard. When he reached the gate of the graveyard,he suddenly saw a movement, and he hurried to hide behind a huge tree.

He stared in horror, as he saw a black shadow walk across the graveyard. It stopped near a particular tomb,and Appollo could see smoke around it. The tomb opened and there was a dazzling light emitting from it. Suddenly the shadow entered the tomb, which was then surrounded by smoke. A second later, the light disappeared and the tomb closed by itself.

Appollo rubbed his eyes and wondered,

"What did I just see? I think I'm hallucinating due to lack of sleep. After all, I have been awake for the past 16 hours. I'd better not mention this to anyone, least they think I'm crazy! "

He slowly came out of his hiding place, and walked towards the tomb into which the shadow had disappeared. He took out his flashlight for a better look. He looked at the tombstone, which read,

PHILE DENNIS

He then read the ecitaph

"Remember man, as you go by,

As you were now, so once was I,

As I am now, so shall you be,

Prepare yourself to follow me! "

Wow, looks like this person wants everyone who passes by to be dead, he thought.

He scanned the tomb, and noticed that unlike the others, this one seemed to be much cleaner. Must be relatively new perhaps, he thought to himself. Whatever, none of my business. I should continue my walk. Its already too late.

Appollo turned back and walked towards the gate. He stopped and looked back at the tomb, wondering whether he had actually witnessed such a phenomenon. He shook his head and continued to walk towards his destination.

Little did he know that he wasn't dreaming. What he witnessed was about to change his life. Forever.
