Alex leaned back in his recliner, thinking about the young man he had accidentally met the other day. That mark on his hand... yet how could it be? No. I must be mistaken, but only if I wasn't, he shook his head sadly.
"Taking to yourself, eh? Should we be seeing the psychiatrist soon? "
Alex smiled on hearing the voice.
"Pardon me sunshine. I was just thinking about... Well..", Alex purposely stopped mid sentence.
"Go on. Thinking about?"
"Getting you married." Alex said slyly. He had to immediately duck in order to avoid a cushion that came flying in his direction.
"DADDY! This is the last time I'm telling you..", she was cut off by Alex.
"I know I know. You will not marry someone just for the sake of it, you want someone you can trust your heart with, you haven't felt a connection with anyone... Blah blah and more blah right?" he said covering his ears.
She glared at him. Alex smiled.
"Don't glare at me sunshine. Do you think I would have agreed to all your whims if I don't agree with your thinking? Two individuals should never be forced to live with each other. Such relationships never last. I was just pulling you leg."
She pouted.
" Everytime you do this to me. Not fair."
"OK darling. I'm sorry."
"Forgiven. But what were you talking to yourself about?"
Alex hesitated.
"Well, just thinking about names for my grandchildren...?"
This time the cushion didn't miss its mark.
