7 The Set-UpSkinner calmly drove the private ambulance deeper into the heart of Paris with his unconscious hostage in the back. He had remained composed throughout the long ordeal and now had to find a way to distance himself mentally from the atrocities he’d committed. The early evening traffic had calmed a little as the hour approached eight – and the appointed opening time for the first day of the animal skin trade fair the following morning drew nearer.
