10 The UnveilingThe exhibition site at Le Bourget was more familiar with air shows than a fashionable, if rather politically incorrect, fur trade fair. Using one hall only, the throngs of visitors had begun to cram in for the first catwalk event of the morning. The French had no inhibitions about hosting such an event and even the France- based animal rights activists had resigned themselves to such abhorrent exhibitions taking place on their soil. Pierre Sadorney was the first of the high profile designers to have his collection showcased on the tastefully adorned catwalk and as usual he was behind the scenes fussing around the half-naked models.
