Mia thought quickly. “The crystal is powerful—it can restore balance to both worlds. But only if you use it wisely.”
Malvara hesitated, clearly torn. “If you’re wrong, my people will perish.”
“They won’t,” Mia said firmly. “We’ll make sure of it.”
After a tense moment, Malvara lowered the crystal into Mia’s hands.
“Don’t make me regret this,” she said.
Restoring Balance
With Finn guiding them, Mia and Leo raced back to the glowing tree in the heart of Arvorean. They placed the Crystal of Balance back on its pedestal, and the entire forest lit up with vibrant colors. The air filled with music, and time seemed to flow naturally again.
“You did it!” Finn cried, his tail wagging furiously.
The siblings felt a warm glow in their hearts as they looked around at the restored kingdom.
The Return Home
The treehouse portal reappeared, shimmering in the distance. Finn led them back to it.
“Will we ever see you again?” Leo asked.
“Perhaps,” Finn said with a sly grin. “Arvorean always remembers its heroes.”
With a final wave, Mia and Leo stepped into the light.
They found themselves back in their grandmother’s yard, the treehouse looking as ordinary as ever. But they knew the truth—and the memories of their adventure would stay with them forever.
As they walked back to the cottage, Leo turned to Mia and said, “Best summer ever.”
Mia smiled. “Definitely.”
