12. Asskissers and Lies.

GIOVANNI. The more I went through this branch's files and records, the more angry and confused I got. There had been so much embezzlement, mismanagement of funds and stupid irrevocable deals, the fact that refurbishing this company was going to take a whole lot of time, stress and shouts for me made me cranky immediately. "Judy, I'd like to see you right now." I said into the telecom and in seconds, my personal assistant was knocking on my door. "Come on in." I urged taking in her appearance. To be honest, Judy was worth her pay, she was diligent, smart and good at her job but she's someone who isn't good at keeping her head straight and will always say things that she knows that I want to hear. In short, she's a people pleaser, one that keeps kissing my damn ass for no reason, a trait I hate so much because its what I do to my own family. She approached me with a slow, practiced walk meant to win respect like English royalty. The button-down business-like jacket she had on has light-blue silk at the arms. The back of her skirt is longer than the front and more silk fans out in a tail. It’s this weird clash of regal pomp and modern sizzle. All she needed was a gold tiara over her platinum-blond hair, and she’d be princess personified. “Are you okay, Mr. Callisto?” she cooed, flashing a set of teeth like perfect ivory. "No, I'm not okay, I wouldn't call on you for anything If I was, Judy." I snapped, irritated at her question, "where is the complete files and all and why is there so much mismanagement from your former boss, also why don't I understand a damn thing in this thing you call a record and who's the i***t making so much noise outside my office!!!" I rushed out in one breathe, getting more frustrated with each question, even Judy was taken aback and it just made me chuckle inwardly because thus wasn't even quarter of what she'd face from me if she were to be my personal assistant, my former assistants have seen worse. They call it cold, cruel and workaholic but I call it focused, strict and hardworking., plus I've always had to do extra to earn a compliment from my parents, not everybody is lucky to do just little or nothing at all and have people fawning and thanking them like my elder brother. "It's one Mr. Sam is the cause of the noise sir, he came up demanding to see you for... uh... the sack letter sir. He keeps saying he doenst deserve to be sacked over what a w***e had said sir, in his own words." She explained while I scoffed, "if he won't cooperate and get the hell out of the vicinity like a normal human, then have the damn security operatives do their job, should I even have to say this?" I said, rolling my eyes. "That will be done sir." "Good then, now what about the rest of my questions?" I asked further. "About those sir, I do not know, those are all the files that the recordings and management division gave to me and in their own words, that's all of it." She rushed out. "Of couse, okay. So what do you think about the ideas we talked about this morning in the car?" I asked, changing the topic as I got off my chair to stretch and look out through the beautiful glass in my office, tiny bustling cars and people could seen moving to and fro as soon as I looked out and somehow, the scenery calmed my nerves. "Whatever you say is the best sir. Every one of your idea is amazing, you're such a smart and intelligent CEO sir, your parents must be very proud of you. I'm sure you'll be able to get this company back in shape in no time." Judy responded, adding extra cooing. 'Lies.' I thought. When I looked back to look at her, I was surprised to see that she was already right behind me leaving little space between us. She bit her bottom lip and batted her fake lashes in a way that she probably thought was seductive but wasn't. I was tempted to step back since she hadn’t left much personal space between us, but I didn't even bother to. "Even the idea of sacking a lot of people and just employing new set?" I threw, with an eyebrow raised, I had intentionally added that idea to test if she was the right personal assistant for me, one that knew when to tell me off and let me know that I'm not making any sense and from the look of it, she failed, woefully. I took a step back but somehow, it didn't register with her that I was trying to get the hell away from her. With these huntresses who flirt with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer, it never does. “You think it's okay to just fire people that haven't done anything wrong other than do their best for the company just because I plan on refurbishing it?,” I snapped, putting several more steps between us. “Oh well, you loose some, you gain some sir. They might have been doing their best and if their best isn't showing result then are they really doing anything at all?” Judy responded nonchalantly as she loosened a few more buttons on her shirt. “I think I should get you a nice warm cup of coffee sir, that always de-stresses me after a hard day.” She added while I rolled my eyes at her poor attempt at seduction. “I never take coffee twice a day, Judy and we need to get back to work,” I reminded her gruffly, as I went back to my seat. I found myself thinking back to the girl who had her heels in her hand, the same one who had boldly spoken up amidst other colleagues of hers and there’s no denying the hot current coursing through my blood like a chainsaw as I thought of her. There was just something about this girl. Unfortunately. It’s still hard to take her off my mind. When she was talking so confidently without any care, my eyes were as glued to her. I was fixated on her lips—very full, kissable, hellfire lips. Now? It’s hard to pin down one good reason why my mind have a mind of their own. It could be the way the pants hugs her body, accenting curves I shouldn’t be so interested in. The fabric stretched across her breasts in a colorful band, and her trousers just swoops in, and spreads across her beautiful hips. An ass like a plum, begging for a sinful hand. She's nothing like the women I normally found attractive, the slim, tall and pucky lipped ones and that is more reason why I found it very strange that I was so interested in her and the more I think of her, the more I can't help but think that she could be what I’m looking for. Someone with a backbone, and any girl with a sharp, confident mouth like hers could really— No. s**t. Those lips just became completely unkissable, if I’m seriously considering this insanity. I don’t mix business with pleasure. Ever. She’s left a rare impression, though, and there’s no denying the stone-cold fact that I want her. On my team. In my bed. At my desk. On all fours. I can’t decide which I’d enjoy more. Hell, for now, I just want to see her again, talk to her, and hear her speak without fear. “Uhm, Judy?” I called out to my personal assistant who was still standing before me. “Uh, yes sir?” "Can you get me the files of this uh... lady? I need to talk to her about the personal assistant job,” I said. Judy stared at me with a blank face, adjusting her boobs like there’s something wrong with them. I inwardly groan. “You mean...the sales associate girl downstairs?” she finally said, batting her eyes in disbelief. “Yes, the sales associate girl, I want her as my personal assistant.” I responded. “Wha... what? Don't you have me, sir? Sir, are you firing me?" Judy asked. "You're just not the one for me, Judy, no hard feelings and I'm not sacking you, you'll be Matteo's personal assistant instead" I simply replied. "You act like you're looking for a wife or something." She dropped before realising that she might have spoken out of turn. "Well, maybe I'm not but Matteo just needs you more." I lied, not wanting to hurt her feelings. "Okay sir, fine. We can just look for a proper and qualified PA for you, she's not even qualified, like at all." Judy said, adamant. "That will take so much time, Judy. Why go through all that stress when I've found one myself, she’s perfect for the EA position. I have no doubt she has the energy to fill my shoes when I’m otherwise occupied, and that’s what I need. No excuses, no nonsense, no endless babysitting.” Judy looked annoyed but shook her head nonetheless, “Energy. Like that’s the only skill required for this kind of job?” she muttered under her breath, then went quiet for a minute. "I'll be back with the files, sir." She finally said as she walked towards the door and stepped out but not before I heard her say, "this is bullshit." I smiled, not caring, "of course, it's bullshit, Judy. Absolute bullshit."
