She walked away from there while Iqrash watched her from a distance.
*"She still doesn't have feelings for him... does she?" * he thought before turning around and leaving.
Back in the banquet hall, everyone was busy enjoying themselves, talking and laughing. As Manal scanned the crowd, her eyes landed on someone suspicious.
Ignoring everyone around her, she quietly left the hall.
"Manal!" someone called from behind, but she didn't stop.
A few moments later, she spotted a waiter talking to another man in a secluded corner.
"The auction of the next batch will be held tomorrow," one of them said.
The other man scoffed.
"Your boss won't double-cross us again, right?"
"Our boss is here at the party himself. That should be enough to ease your concerns. Besides, who would dare question him just to confirm an order?"
Manal listened carefully without making a sound.
After finishing their conversation, the two men went their separate ways. She followed one of them through the corridor, but suddenly a little girl stepped in her path.
"Sorry, Auntie. I didn't see you coming," the girl said innocently.
"It's okay, sweetheart," Manal replied.
When she looked up again, the man had already disappeared.
"Damn it," she muttered.
She returned to the hall, carefully observing every guest with suspicious eyes. Instead of finding a clue, however, she spotted Iqrash shamelessly flirting with a beautiful woman.
Rolling her eyes, she muttered,
"Bastard. Did he seriously come here just for this?"
Meanwhile...
"Your eyes caught my attention the moment you walked in," Iqrash said smoothly. "You're so beautiful that I can't resist myself."
As he spoke, his hand casually rested on the woman's waist.
Manal shook her head in annoyance and walked away.
She couldn't figure out who among the guests could be the gang leader.
Lost in thought, she suddenly heard—
"BOOM!"
She jumped in surprise and spun around.
"Iqrash! Are you out of your mind?"
He laughed.
"Where were you?"
"I was dancing. Didn't you see?"
"Oh? Then why didn't you invite me?"
"Shut up, Iqrash."
Iqrash noticed her eyes searching the crowd.
"What are you trying to find?"
Manal gave him a sarcastic look.
"Right. We definitely came here to enjoy the party, didn't we?"
Iqrash smirked.
"Didn't we?"
She slapped his arm.
He chuckled.
"Okay, okay. I checked everyone here. Most of them seem like ordinary businessmen. But there's one person who's definitely suspicious."
Her expression immediately turned serious.
"Who?"
Without hesitation, he answered,
"Zaveyaar."
She stared at him as if he had lost his mind.
"You seriously need a medical check-up."
"I'm not joking," he said. "It isn't just a random guess. It could actually be him."
Soon, the party came to an end.
As Manal stood near the exit, Shahmir approached her.
"Hey, pretty. What's wrong? You don't look like you enjoyed the party."
He glanced at the untouched food table.
"And you barely ate anything. By the way, where's your fiancé-to-be?"
Before Manal could answer, Iqrash appeared behind her.
"Did you miss me?" he asked with a grin.
Shahmir laughed.
"Manal, when Dad told me you'd found a handsome guy, I didn't believe him."
He looked Iqrash up and down.
"Honestly, he's even more handsome than Kavish. You should definitely keep him."
Iqrash adjusted his tie proudly.
"Well... thank you for your kind words."
Shahmir chuckled.
"Since I'm Manal's best buddy, that makes us friends too."
Iqrash offered his hand.
"My pleasure."
The two men shook hands while Manal stood between them, already regretting this conversation.
