CHAPTER TWO (The couples rest on the same mattress)

After a long time of swimming, the two couples then moved towards the restroom. Tyson carried Joan and threw her on the bed as the vertical view could only view Tyson. Shortly, he then laid down as Joan pulled the bedsheet, and then the two covered themselves as Luna disappeared in the thin air.

In the morning, Joan packed her things as she was ready for the campus. Tyson dragged her suitcase towards the car boot, and then they drove away. On reaching the main highway, the man sped off and even though Joan hated such speed, she had to abide by him as he continued.

Shortly they reached the cumpus entrance as the man drove her inside. He gave her a long kiss as he dropped some bucks for her. They then moved outside as the man opened the boot, handed over the suitcase to her and he drove away. Joan kept on waving at him, not until he exited the gate.

Her besties welcomed her as they had also just returned from their trip. They helped Joan drag her belongings towards the hostel as the youths started to laugh at each other.At this cumpus, most of the boys who broke up with their girls could regret it because they were no longer given a second chance. The girls expected immediate replacement in case such an incident happened.

For instance mike who was a last year student had engaged in a relationship with Vero who had just joined the campus. The two couples were known all over the campus as they always spearheaded the proms.One night, they went for supper at a restaurant as usual but all of a sudden, Mike engaged in strong arguments with her because she had refused him to spoon feed him.

Mike stood up at once and left as vero suffered with the bills.The next day, the two were no longer sitting closer to each other and they had distanced each other. Everyone was now doing coursework alone though they used to do it all together.

Time went on and vero suddenly found an opulent.She stopped texting mike though mike was still trying to re-unite with her. To make matters worse, her new guy stopped taking her for tripps because She disliked romance.

This made it hard for her to get another one as she opted for revance.The next day, she had gone back to Mike but was taken aback as she found him with another girl. As a celebrity, Mike couldn't take long to find a girl since his pocket was very worthy.

Vero tried to plead back to him but it was already too late. She even went towards the side where Mike slept, drew his attention towards her but he continued to pay less attention towards her.

For Vero, some of her country friends had always encouraged her to enjoy men's bucks but prevent a touch towards her. Because of this, she wanted to control more than ten men without each of them knowing who her exact boyfriend was.

Night passed, days passed but Vero remained in heartbreak. This time round she couldn't figure out whether to fall in love or not. She was just focused on her books but things continued to bounce back the moment it entered her brain.

She fainted several times and could gain consciousness from the sickbay. Most of the boys were already distancing away from her because they knew that she was using them. Vero remained at the campus for a full year without a boyfriend, not until when freshers joined that when she got a boyfriend.

It was a Monday morning when Joan's former high school boyfriend decided to call her. Quidite had called like five multiple times but there was no response. Since he was on his holidays, he then decided to continue grazing her animals uphill as he played with birds all over the forest.

At midnight, he decided to call her hoping that she could respond since there were no lectures at that time. The phone went through but there was no response. For more than two months, Quidite could no longer speak to Joan.

As a man who had had his first crush ever, he found it very hard to abandon her. He kept on calling a call after a call not until when she finally responded to him.Even though she responded, Quidite could not hear any single voice because music seemed to be very loud in the room where she was.

Quidite continued to text various messages requesting her to get to a quiet place because he had burning issues but she didn't reply to any of his messages.

Joan was at that time at the club spending bucks with Tyson. He found it very hard to reply to his messages because she had vowed to Tyson that he was her only boyfriend.

The two continued to order drinks after drinks and at this point, Joan became too stupor as she only saw stars in the club and a big luna. After Tyson satisfied himself with wine, he carried her and then put her in the car as he drove off.

For Joan, she had never sipped alcohol not until she joined the university. Her head was too light to withstand the alcoholic velocity and this was why she couldn't finish one bottle.This time round the guy drove her straight away to the lodge where they spent their nights.

The next morning, they again drove her back and gave her some dollars as well.Back at home, Tyson had brought another lady whom he also promised to marry as she took care of his children. The woman was a nurse and she normally worked during night shifts.

She didn't bother how many wives Tyson had divorced.

Very early in the morning when Joan became sober, she checked on her phone and then saw Quidite's messages. She decided to call him as her mind was already thinking how she was going to delude him.

Quidite was only remaining with one week at home so as to get back to school. This had always traumatised him because he had always wanted to see Joan before proceeding to school.

Quidite had already swept the compound when he sat down imagining what he could do next. All of a sudden, he heard someone calling him and when he rushed towards him, he noticed that he was Jimmy.

He was informing him about his phone which had been ringing.He got the phone and then picked it. He had already seen that she was Joan who was calling him.

Joan; "Hello?" she started.

Quidite; "long time!" He replied as his voice lowered.

Joan;"long time too." she replied as she waited to turn Quidite's words around.

Quidite;"I called you yesterday's night and you weren't picking, what was happening?" he asked inquisitively.At that moment, Joan first paused for a moment as she was already thinking about how she could reply to her highschool boyfriend.

As she delayed, Quidite continued to order her to speak as his tears dropped.

Joan;"I had been sick for the last two days." she started. "And so my phone remained at home as I proceeded to the hospital." she added.At that point, Quidite dropped into tears as he continuously wished for her quick recovery.

He requested to see her the next day but she told him that she could first see.The old man always came for her without any information and she wanted to trace any time that she could seem to be free.

Quidite:"At what time will that be when you will inform me?" he asked inquisitively.

"Let it be evening" she replied. At this moment, Jimmy stood by his back as he listened to what he was saying. The voice of the girl called Joan seemed so familiar to him but he ignored asking his young brother. The two then continued to do their daily activities as Jimmy took the animals for grazing.

The sun was already setting as Quidite continued to focus his eyes on the phone. Soon it was already night and the Luna seemed bright but there was no reply. He tried to call several times but the phone was switched off.

He wanted to almost give up but then suddenly decided to send text messages as he went to sleep.Morning came as he saw several messages on his phone. When he opened, Joan had texted him that they meet that day at the beach by evening.

This made him do household chores such that evening time could find him when he was free. Since he didn't have any money, Jimmy had borrowed him one hundred dollars which he promised to pay when he returned from school.He felt a sudden wave of relief and excitement as he prepared for the long-awaited meeting.
