Chapter 5&6.
The room fell silent. _Whispers_ _Shocked gasps_
Ksenia's eyes widened, her face pale. "What? Why?Who are you to tell me that?"
Corey's expression didn't change.
"You're a distraction. And you're not worthy of Crestwood High."
The paper in his hand fluttered to the ground.
Ksenia's eyes fell on it, her heart racing.
The room was deathly silent, all eyes on Ksenia as she stared at Corey in shock.
"What do you mean I'm expelled?" she demanded, her voice trembling with anger.
Corey's expression remained cold, his eyes piercing.
"do I look like. Am ready to give any explanation" Corey said his voice demanding and commanding a little smirk accros his face.
Ksenia's face flushed with indignation
. "oh really I go no where then!" she replied him immediately.
" looks you may look like the king of crest wood but I bet you I go no where f*****g no where!" Kesina said and her face changed to a cold and expresionsless one.
The crowd murmured, whispers spreading like wildfire.
"Is she really getting expelled?"
"Corey's got no mercy"
"Did she really break the rules?"
Mina stepped forward, her voice shaking. "I think there's been a misunderstanding. Ksenia didn't mean to—"
She couldn't even finish the words when Jin chocked her.
Corey cut her off, his voice icy. "I hate disturbance, Mina."
Alex watched with interest, a small smile playing on his lips.
Jin stood smiled and released her she fell to the floor immediately, he looked his expression unreadable.
"warning Mina!" Jin muttered.
Ksenia's eyes narrowed, her anger boiling over but she's as calm as ever like a b***h from hell door.
"you won't win motherfucker" she spat, turning to storm out of the cafeteria.
As she walked out, she ripped the expulsion letter from Corey's hand, tearing it into pieces. _Gasps_
The crowd erupted into chaos, students whispering and pointing.
"Did she just rip up the letter?"
"Is she crazy?"
"Corey's going to make her pay"
Corey's eyes flashed with anger, his jaw clenched.
"interesting been long I felt this thrill , you'll hate what's coming , Ksenia." Corey grinned his stare blank as he watched ksenia finally dispersing out of his sight.
Ksenia smiled sweetly, her eyes glinning with defiance.
"I'm not afraid of you, Corey." she smiled
And with that, she finally left out of the cafeteria, leaving everyone stunned.
"Oh my gosh Corey.....you actually stood up for me..." Sophia smiled and walked towards Corey but maintaining a distance.
Corey scoffed and walked away.
Ksenia walked out of the cafeteria, her anger and frustration boiling over.but her face calm and evil.
She couldn't believe Corey had expelled her! Who did he think he was?
As she walked down the hallway, she heard whispers and snatches of conversation.
"Expelled on her first week?"
"Corey's got it in for her"
"Serves her right for messing with Sophia"
Ksenia's eyes narrowed. She didn't need anyone's pity.
She would find a way to get back at Corey, and it would be epic.
Just then, her phone buzzed with a message from an unknown number.
"Meet me at the old gym at midnight. Come alone. -C"
Ksenia's chuckled such a asshole game. Who was C? Corey? Wanna trap me?
Her curiosity got to it's climax, she replied.
"Who is this?"
The response came seconds later.
"Come alone, and find out. Don't tell anyone. -C"
Ksenia's mind was racing. Was this a setup?
A chance to take down Corey? She decided to take the risk.
Midnight. Old gym.Alone. sounds interesting
OLD GYM... 12:35AM. *
ksenia got to the gym 30mins late and she knew she kinda in for doom.
She looked at the old gym in front of her,
"Body build for devil's" was crafted boldly in front of the building, and though the wood is starting to fall out cos insects already ate deep into it, the name is still bold.
The paint on the body of the gym has already peeled, leaving pounding impacts of rain on the bleached walls.
Happy lizards are running around the roof sills, and though the moon in the sky isn't very bright as it hid under the dark clouds, it's still enough for her to see.
The environment is eerily silent, dead silence. And the as the air slapped her skin repeatedly, she felt shivers which she quickly shook away.
She's wearing just a little bumshort and crop top she didn't have time to change because of the rush to meet up mysterious c in time.
She has no idea what she's gonna face in there, but she's better prepared.
She took another look at the building , and the ominous structure made another wave of shivers creep into her skin.
There is no single light inside and outside this gym, and the atmosphere smells like danger already, but strangely, her chest is not pounding with trepidation.
Her hand pressed the middle of her bumshort where her knife is sitting.
She has brought it secretly in case of necessity, knowing that she's alone, and she needs at least the knife for backup.
She took a deep breath, and the moon became brighter in the sky as if aligning with her thoughts as she took brave steps towards the gym front door
She opened the door, and it came wide with a zippy sound.
She took another deep breath before stepping into the dark gym.
The door closed, slamming loudly behind her, and then she realized the gym ain't completely dark.
There's a dim light at the front of the gym coach base, and under the dim light, he sat—like sin.
He sat like iniquity, like everything untameable, and his evil eyes are closed as his elbows rested on the cemented alter stairs.
Ksenia smiled a little but still made to move on like what's there to fear anyways.
Her lips parted as she tried to call him, but his eyes opened before she could, and he stood to his feet immediately.
He began walking to her, his steps silent, and she began walking to him too, making sure to trace the wall with her fingers so she won't fall.
She felt tremors at each step she took towards the devil, and the dim light on the alter began flickering as if unwrapping the underlying layers of his mysteriousness.
Her throat closed up on nothing, and her palm turned sweaty on the wall she's tracing it on, leaving damp imprints.
She wouldn't have guessed that the space between them was this long, It seems like it's stretching with every tick of the clock.
Corey steps got wider when they were about to walk into each other, and the night air slammed one of the weak gym windows on the hinges, making the weak wood scatter across the ground.
As if possessed, the flickering alter light also went off, leaving the gym in total darkness.
"Your 30mins 25sec late newbie!" Corey muttred as he got to her.
Ksenia froze, and her hand found the knife in her pocket, holding the handle and trying to stabilize her heartbeats at the same time.
She was about to start wondering what kinda sick game he's trying to play.
Corey smirk in the dark and she finally pulled the knife out of her skirt.
Before she could even balance the knife in her hand, she got hit from behind, by her waist.
The hit threw her forward, and she landed hard on the ground, the knife slipping off her hand, but she was able to find it with her second hand.
She took it and stood, her breaths hot as they filtered out of her nostrils.
"Stay calm, calculate, and you'll outshine your enemies even in the dark"
Those were her master's words during their taekwondo trainings, yeah she's a takewando.
She relaxed her bones, then exhaled slowly, turning around when she heard movements behind her.
"stop trying to play smart newbie cause here, you will regret ever entering Crestwood!"
