The full moon's luminance radiated softly throughout the open space of the master bedroom. I smiled sleepily at Gale as he slept soundly beside me. I tested the waters, sliding as gently as I could to close the gap between us. Gale rolled with a sigh and I held my breath, freezing in place while he adjusted. He lay facing me and reached out, his hand falling across my stomach. Half asleep, he pulled me to him, nuzzling his face against my hair. Turning over, I pressed my back against the firmness of his chest. Gale's arm tightened around me, his breath mussing up my hair, his steady breathing lulling me back to sleep.
A knock at the door brought both Gale and I to consciousness. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and sat up.
"Are you decent?" Titus asked from the hallway.
