Gale
Later that evening, after Riordan and Matilde had left for the night, Andy pulled Gale up to the alpha suite. She closed the door behind them, and led him to the foot of their bed.
Gale brushed stray curls away from her weary face. Andy melted into him, pressing her forehead against his, taking in his scent.
"I thought I lost you today." her words were ragged with emotion.
"I thought you did too," Gale admitted. The guilt continued to replay in his mind. "I should've been able-"
Andy smoothed a gentle finger over his lips, cutting him short. "Everything happens the way it is meant to."
Wrapping her arms nimbly around his neck, Andy pressed her lips lightly against Gale's. They stood there for several minutes in silence, relishing in the comfort they found within one another.
