“What the hell happened?!” Mark calls out with panic in his voice.
“Wall fell,” Stacey mumbles out not daring to move. Mark and Amanda work to clean up Stacey as she lies on the ground. Amanda quickly works to pull the splinters out of Stacey’s arms while Mark looks over her body for any broken bones. His words are just continuous apologies as Stacey lies there quietly, allowing them to work. Finally, when Amanda confirms she can find no more splinters, they work to get her on her feet. She can’t walk, her body is completely drained, and they have to drag her into the house. Mark helps them into the bathroom, leaving Amanda to help Stacey as he calls Miss Betty to let her know what happened.
