CHAPTER TITLE Reflections I sat on my bed, my mind wandering to the events of the day. The Council meeting, the Alpha's cold demeanor, it all swirled in my head like a storm. I sighed, feeling a sense of heaviness in my chest. I had hoped for more from the Alpha, some sign of appreciation or acknowledgement. But it seemed I was just a mere maid to him, a mere accessory. I looked around my small room, feeling a sense of loneliness wash over me. I had no one to turn to, no one to confide in. I was alone, with only my thoughts to keep me company. I stood up, my movements slow and deliberate. I walked to the window, staring out at the moonlit sky. The world outside seemed so peaceful, so calm. But inside, I was a storm of emotions. I thought back to the Alpha's words, his cold dismissal.
