Don't touch me

1158 Words
Vanessa went back to America from Russia that week. She entered her house. Elizabeth stood up from the sofa and looked at her with a worried gaze. "How bad is the shot wound." She asked and suck in a deep breath when Vanessa pulled her shirt up. The wound was all stitched up but there was another big nasty scar on her abdomen. The scar was straight it started from her belly button and the rest was covered by her shirt, so Elizabeth didn't get a glimpse of the entire cut but have seen enough to know her life before becoming as assassin was anything but good. "All stitched up." Vanessa said with a grin. She looked at them with a frown when Elizabeth and Victoria- who was in the room looking at the scar with wide eyes and mouth, she dropped the ice cream she was holding- did she only understand they were looking at the other wound. "Where did you get that." Victoria stuttered out barely managing to find the right words to form a sentence. "None of your business." Vanessa said coldly. They are not her real friends. It's just a favor. She doesn't need to answer to all the questions they have. Victoria stepped forward to pull her into a hug but Vanessa stepped aside and turned to her, glaring at Victoria. "Alright if we are gonna be friends, let's set some ground rules. NEVER touch me." Vanessa said coldly emphasizing on 'never'. "Alright." Vanessa asked putting on her charming smile, giving no place for any arguments. Victoria nodded, dazed. Elizabeth swallowed hard and agreed too. Vanessa made her way towards the stairs. 'Baby steps.' Elizabeth thought to herself. "Did Alexander call for me while I was away." Vanessa stopped and asked. "No." After getting her answer she left. PRESENT TIME Vanessa thought back to that memory with a smirk. Of course no one can know that lady is still alive but....well her son knows of her existence, but whatever. It doesn't matter. "Why did you quit smoking, drinking and sleeping around." Vanessa asked. Sure he maybe did all that out of grief for his deceased fiance but why quit it. "You are not gonna believe me if I said I moved on from her death, right?" He asked more like stated with a knowing smile. Vanessa shook her head. "There was a pregnant woman in my place so I quit smoking. I didn't want my bad habit to endanger the child." Sian said honestly. "Your child?" Vanessa asked tilting her head, confused. The paper didn't tell her that he has a child but he could've hidden that but then why did he tell her about it. "My turn." He said shaking his head making a mock disapproving sound. "How did you start seducing." Sian asked. Vanessa felt chills run down her spine, but why? Maybe because she didn't like the fact she once used to be traumatized by some of the events that took place. She got the wine glass and gulped the whole drink down in seconds. The only she hated was being seen as weak. And this guy in front of her knows about that. "Since the beginning of my career." Vanessa said with a smile. 'Drop it.' She hissed in her head. "I thought we were being honest here." Sian said with eyebrows furrowed looking disappointed. Vanessa pinched her nose and took deep breaths. 'He knows.' She thought to herself. "I was 16." She started. 2 YEARS AGO It was a club, there were people cheering probably a bachelor or Bachelorette party. Vanessa took a deep breath when she felt a man's presence behind her. It took everything in her to not flinch when he grabbed her waist pulling her towards him. It has been more than 1 and half year since she escaped but she still couldn't help but be triggered whenever someone touches her. "Why can't we take this somewhere else." The guy whispered leaving wet kisses down her neck. Vanessa twisted her body and pushed him away from her. She took deep breaths feeling light headed and clutched her head. She forgot why she even came here in the first place. Her eyes widened in realization and leaned closer towards him. She placed her hand on his chest nibbling his ear lobe. "Your wish is my command." She said in a husky voice masking her panic well. Vanessa could feel her heart pounding in her chest. She freed herself and looked back, gesturing him to follow her. They finally made it to the dark alley where he was shot dead by her. ASSASSIN AGENCY Alexander threw the document he was reading towards her head, Vanessa dodged it with ease. "Have you lost it. You could've died." He yelled at her "I didn't, did I." Vanessa asked nonchalantly. "You could have." He stressed out. "I handled myself just fine, and it was the alcohol." She said blaming her drink, rolling her eyes. Sure she knew she almost messed up but she alone can't be held accountable, it was not her fault she was r***d. Yet she blamed herself for still being traumatized by the events. "Why did you even sip the f*****g thing in the first place. You are underage." He yelled angrily and emphasized the last sentence through gritted teeth. "Calm down. Your gonna pull a nerve." She said bored. It didn't matter she was underage. It didn't matter her drink could've been spiked. It didn't matter if she was dead or alive to her. "I hired a teacher specialized in seduction." He said pinching the bridge of his nose. "You will be taking classes with him from tomorrow." He said more relaxed leaning back on his chair. Vanessa banged her hands on the table. Hard. "I don't need a seduction teacher. I can do it just fine on my own. It was a mistake. One that will never be repeated. Ever." She said through gritted teeth. She didn't like needing help from people. Let alone that of a stranger. "I'd rather have you hate me than you killed." He said looking into her eyes meaning every word he said. "Why do you even care. It's not like your my father." She mocked, her hostility could be heard miles away. She saw Alexander tense and took a deep breath. She had no respect for that piece of s**t of a father so he most probably was hurt because she mocked him, that he was her father. Vanessa gritted her teeth indignantly and made angry noises but took a deep breath and groaned out a 'fine'. And made her way towards the door. "Vanessa." He called out when she reached for the door knob. "I hope you didn't forget." He started but Vanessa cuts him off "The first to show weakness will be the first to die. Did I get it right." She says looking at him exasperated.
