Being Flustered

I lifted my hood in front of her and revealed myself to her. “For some reason, I need someone to pretend to be my sister.” I said while giving her a smile with mouth being tucked close. “How about it, Sister?” The cashier in front of me raised one of her eyebrows and gave me a soft laugh. “Sister? Haha, are you playing with me??” What's wrong with her? I just showed her my handsome face yet she replied to me with a laugh? ‘Anyone would be mesmerized by how good looking I am!’ The cashier then handed me back my bank card and I can still feel that she was hiding her laughter inside of her. “Christopher, isn't it?” She said with her face trying to be professional in any way. “Hahaha, you’re still wearing those sunglasses of yours.” ‘What?’ The embarrassment I felt right now made the muscles in my face relax and veins to widen which allowed more blood to collect. This phenomenon causes a red appearance in my cheeks and also what they called ‘flustered or blushed.’ ‘Those girls back in my school will be flustered if they see me. And now, looking at my situation, I am the one who has been flustered with embarrassment. now I feel what they felt’ “A-ahem,” I cleared my throat and removed the sunglasses I was wearing that conceal my handsome appearance. “Oh my, you are a good looking guy.” After my face was fully revealed, she made a comment. “I know.” “You look familiar though…. Like some chaebol or like that.” She said but I didn't even see her being excited or in love like the girls in my university. The cashier in front of me moves her head in the back of me. It seems that she was searching if they were any customers to come inside the store. “There are no more customers coming.” She said while closing the drawer of the cash register. “So how about we have a little chit chat in the corner there.” She added with her index finger being pointed at the table with a pair of chairs on the corner of the store. “Affirmative.” ○↛Half a minute later↚○ Both Asylene, the cashier and Christopher, the flustered good looking guy, were sitting opposite each other at an empty table on the corner of the convenience store. “So….” Asylene folded her arms while staring at Christopher. “So, why do you need someone to pretend to be your sister?” “I didn't know you would actually believe that though. I mean, there are many girls out there who are willing.” He replied. “Actually, I didn't really believe it. But when you showed me your face, I was like ‘sure, why not?’” “So you believe me, because I was handsome?” “Something like that.” I really don't know whether it's good to be handsome or not. Still, I can't just tell her my entire plan. Who knows maybe she's having an ulterior motive. “Are you really that broke? You are in need of money?” “Everyone needs money.” Asylene answered him. “I’m a first year college student, divorced parents and more likely closer to the word ‘broke.’” “Wait?!” Christopher was shocked looking at her. “You’re a college student?” “I am.” “Then…. We are only two years apart!” “Oh, so you are a third year college student?” Asylene was a bit surprised by what he said. “No! That's not what I mean!” The young lad in front of her stood up with his voice being closer to shout. “I am two years younger than you!” “Huh?” Asylene was confused too, so she stood up like what the young lad did. “Because of your height, I thought you were around the age of twenty five.” “Sister, you look a bit mature too! I thought you were in your twenties.” Christopher, the young lad was filled with joy. For him, he found the best candidate. “The company I was working at won't accept me if I won't have a guardian or someone that would accompany me.” I said but all the things I spewed were lies. Although some of it wasn't a lie, the company I was working in was called Breahym and my full name was: 【 Christopher Kyle Sentinel Breahym 】 My last name and the company are the same. And yes, I am one of the holders of the company. The thing is, my father who was a complete trash told me that I won't inherit the company if I won't find the so-called child that has been missing for ten years. In short, I needed to find my sister who had been either dead or missing. ‘The hell. Why would I waste my time over someone who doesn't even exist? I don't care if she's my sister or not.’ And even if I did find the child my father has been looking for, Father would rather let her inherit company instead of me. “....So how much is the pay?” I snapped out a second after I heard the cashier lady’s voice. “That would be written on the contract if you’ll agree.” I responded to her. “But before that, may I know your name? Sister?” “It’s Asylene Clea. You can call me Asy.” Ding Ting Ring! A sudden phone chime interrupts the conversation both she and I are having. “Your phone is ringing, it must be important.” Asylene said looking at the pocket located at the pants I was wearing. I picked up the phone inside my pocket and see that my father’s secretary was calling me. ‘Crap. I must have lost the track of time.’ “Asylene, we will discuss this things further in the phone. Use the number I give you in my business card.” I said while hurriedly grabbing each of the things I bought from this convenience store earlier. “Wait a minute,” Asylene suddenly stops my other hand from grabbing the other plastic bag filled with alcoholic drinks. “Minors aren't allowed to buy alcoholic drinks.” She said as she pulled the bag away from my hand.
