Chapter Nine Early morning in Hyde Park, the fog was as thick as clouds. Orla sat on a bench with her monocular. Her phone was on hands-free. She glanced at the park to locate Madeline. She had a notebook on her lap. “What am I supposed to watch for again?” “Birds. Look up into the trees, find a bird, and pretend to take notes.
