"Ish, it's all because of Belva. Where is she?" Jeva grumbled back to continue her journey while using her cellphone to contact Belva. Standing in front of the elevator, the woman waited for the waiting tone that made her want to swear even more. "Hello." There was an answer from Belva as soon as the phone was connected. "Where are you? I already told you that today there is an important event!" Jeva immediately rewarded Belva with a scolding. The woman's right hand was struggling to press the elevator button number 1 because she was carrying files, while her left hand was holding a cell phone to her ear. "I'm still on the road. Traffic jam, Jev." Belva's voice on the other end of the phone sounded pitiful. Jeva rolled her eyes, bored. "I don't care. Everyone knows that Jakarta is jammed, so don't use such clichéd excuses to come late." Jeva grumbled again. The woman entered the elevator after successfully pressing the elevator button. "Yeah, I was wrong. I woke up late. I'll be back in a while." Belva finally admitted that she woke up late today. "Sir, please go faster!" Belva shouted to the taxi driver. Jeva had already guessed this. The woman pressed the close button until the elevator doors began to close. "If you haven't arrived at the office in 5 minutes. I don't care if-." "Uh, wait!" someone shouted as the elevator began to close. A man's scream interrupted Jeva's tirade just now. Jeva held back her scolding for Belva and immediately pressed the open button. The elevator door opened again and a man in a neat suit appeared. "Thanks," said the man with a sweet smile which was then returned by a polite nod from Jeva. Jeva returned to focus on his conversation with Belva. "I would immediately agree if Mr Daska fires you. He asked where you were." "Are you serious? Then what did you say?" asked Belva sounding panicked. End of history... Jeva rolled her eyes in exasperation. "I said you still have to take care of some things for the next event," she said later. "So does he believe?" asked Belva half-hopefully. "Apparently not. How can he trust his secretary who is always late, even when that person is still at work all week. He just doesn't want to yell at you in front of me, you have to come quickly or he'll be really mad at you." Jeva ended the call after the ultimatum. Ting. The elevator they took arrived at the office lobby. Jeva took a quick step out of the elevator and waited for the taxi she ordered online in front of the office. The man who was in the elevator with her also got out, he handed the car keys to the valley clerk and then waited beside Jeva. "I have urgent business. We'll talk later, I'm not going back to America anyway so we still have plenty of time." The man's voice was accidentally heard by Jeva. "...." "I have to meet my mother. You know that my mother is very fussy. I have to obey her if I want to survive her long scolding," said the man again. "...." "Okay. I'll go first," said the man ended the call. A Ferrari stopped in front of them, it was the man's car. After he left, it wasn't long before Jeva's taxi also arrived. The taxi slid away after Jeva got into it. ****** Daska entered the room slightly annoyed, took off his coat and loosened the tie around his neck a little. It's still early and the woman is already making him high blood pressure. How much longer would he have to tolerate her behavior? "She thinks this is her family's office! It's just as easy as she isn't in the office at this hour," Daska scolded excitedly. "Just watch out if she doesn't appear in front of me in 5 minutes, I'll immediately fire her," the man snorted in an ultimatum. Belva was lucky because when she knocked on Daska's door, the time given by Daska was still 1 minute left. Daska groaned looking at the door after hearing a knock from outside. "Enter!" the order then. "Excuse me, sir. I just-" "You're fired," Daska cut in cruelly. He didn't give Belva a chance to defend herself at all, even though Jeva had already given the reason for her secretary's delay. "What did you say?" asked Belva not understanding. She stood breathless as she ran from the office lobby to Daska's room. She was even willing to go up several floors via the emergency stairs because she waited too long for the elevator. "You've been fired, Miss Belvara Ray Praja," Daska repeated once again. The man stared intently at Belva's shocked face. "Sir, give me one more chance," Belva pleaded. "Your chance is up,"Daska answered firmly. "I promise this is the last time." Belva again begged. "You can't keep your promise." Daska is adamant in his stance. "Sir, I beg you." Belva again again pitiful. She can't just be fired, he just started working here. "You'll still be fired. I don't care about all your excuses and sweet promises anymore." Daska seemed to be fed up with all the excuses for Belva's delay. Belva groaned at Daska. Gone was the pleading face and replaced with an annoyed expression. "Hei, why are you being so mean to me? I'm just late..." "An hour," Daska interrupted, making Belva cover her mouth tightly, so she doesn't nag. "You're more than an hour late, and don't expect me to let you go this time. You just lost your job, Miss Belvara." Daska smiled with satisfaction. Belva pursed her lips sadly, walking over to her boss – uh, former boss – if her attempts to seduce him didn't work. "Das, come on. You don't want me to be unemployed, do you. Don't fire me... Or at least move me to another department. Hehm. Okay." Belva persuaded Daska with her sweet mouth, acting with a sad expression and teary eyes. Daska showed a big smile that made Belva wish her efforts were successful. "You're unemployed or not, I don't care," the man said ruthlessly. "Besides....""... working as a secretary alone, you can't be responsible, let alone other jobs. I can't let you destroy my company," he added with narrowed eyes. "Hei! You!" "Your family is rich, your future husband is also rich. You won't be short of money even if you become unemployed," Daska said, not caring about Belva's annoyed expression. Belva snorted in annoyance. She had to find a way to get Daska to change his mind. Thinking for a while, she finally found a way. Luckily, her standard brain can think quickly at a critical time like this. "What's with that silly smile of yours?" Daska asked surprised because after a long silence, Belva actually smiled as ridiculous as now. Bella smiled proudly. "If you fire me now, I'll ask Jeva to get out of this office," she threatened later. "Hey." Daska snorted disdainfully. "I'm very confident that Jeva will comply with your request. She wouldn't be able to do that because she needs this job. You think she's stupid," he raved later. "I can also give her a job," said Belva defiantly. "I'll offer you a much better job, a much higher salary and above all..." The woman paused. "Comfort at work so that she is not disturbed by stupid men like you," she added glaring indignantly. "You!" Daska stood up from his chair because he was too annoyed. "You don't even know Jeva's true feelings, maybe she can already feel my feelings. She won't find a man who loves her sincerely in your company," he scolded passionately. "Tch, she never even thought of you as a 'man'. In Jeva's eyes, you were only her superior," Belva provoked. "It just takes time to make her love me," Daska replied a little annoyed, because he realized that Jeva had always been cold to him. "Time? How long? Until you're old with disgusting wrinkled skin. Are you willing to wait that long?" asked Belva never satisfied teasing Daska until the man withdrew his dismissal order. "Damn, you! Aish... Forget it! My decision won't change. You're still fired." This time it was Daska who chose to avoid their fight. "Yah, Daska! Come on!" Belva whined, tugging at the sleeves of Daska's coat like a child. "Go away! Don't touch my coat which costs millions," Daska shooed away Belva's hand from his arm. Belva was getting sullen. "Okay, let's put it this way. We make a deal. You can't fire me and instead, I will fulfill all your wishes. How? Including setting you up with Jevara. Hehm.? You don't need long to make him fall in love with you, I will help you, Das. You can see that Jeva is starting to open up to me. Hehm?" Belva bargained hoping that her boss would accept her. This is the last resort. Daska looked at that beautiful face with an appreciative look, this spoiled woman with stubborn nature would never give up before her goal was achieved. This offer is quite attractive anyway, I will have Jeva soon. "Okay, call" "Ok. Call"
