'My patrol was ambushed. We’re on the eastern pack border in a large clearing by a lake. I see approximately twenty assailants, but more are probably hiding in the surrounding forest. We already secured the southern border but haven't made it to the north or west, so send backup to protect those before sending aid here.' With the help of Artemis’s instructions, Celeste sent her first mind-link message to Zarek, Lucien, and Levana. She desperately wished she’d have figured it out beforehand, but once again necessity proved to be the mother of urgently-figuring-things-out.
She hoped her message actually got through. Although, even if it didn’t, the werewolves had surely alerted their own pack leaders to send help as well. In the meantime, it was up to Celeste to protect her patrol members.
