At 7:30 a.m., entrepreneurs from all over the world and passionate entrepreneurs from within the state began to gather at the United Kingdom Entrepreneurs’ Annual Conference, held at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC). The event was organized by the Glass & Aluminium Organization and P&T Organization—the two largest organizations in the United Kingdom, which had been sponsoring this program for years. This year’s conference marked the 20th Annual Conference, a true milestone in its history. Mr. Benson James and other entrepreneurs sat comfortably as the coordinator of the program, Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth, greeted the attendees. “You are all welcome to today’s conference,” she began warmly. “This conference marks our 20th anniversary, and it has influenced and shaped the lives of many entrepreneurs. We have five speakers lined up for today, each speaking for one hour and thirty minutes on how we can succeed as entrepreneurs.” Meanwhile, Mr. Benson had the privilege of being the third speaker on the program. He sat back comfortably, soaking in the wisdom of the first two speakers and patiently waiting for his turn—calm before the storm, as they say. Finally, it was time for Mr. Benson to deliver his speech. Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth introduced him with enthusiasm: “I want to call on our third speaker for this year’s Annual Conference. He is a particularly respected man, a great entrepreneur with a large company who has impacted countless lives both in his state and across the globe. He is a mentor to many, guiding younger entrepreneurs like a shepherd leading his flock. Please, let’s clap our hands as I invite Mr. Benson James from South Africa!” Mr. Benson James walked majestically to the podium as the audience stood and applauded, giving him a hero’s welcome. He began: “I am delighted to be here at the United Kingdom Annual Entrepreneurs’Conference. I count it a great privilege to have been invited as one of the speakers for this 20th anniversary celebration. “I also honor the sponsors of this conference, who have kept it running like clockwork year after year. I acknowledge every entrepreneur present here today. There’s an old saying: ‘Behind every successful man, there’s a woman.’ I must acknowledge the unwavering support my wife has given me through the years, even when no one knew about Mr. Benson. She is not only a beautiful woman but also a wonderful partner. Truly, she is the wind beneath my wings.” He continued, “Today I’ll be speaking about principles that every entrepreneur needs to master to succeed in business. Mark my words, if you learn these principles, you will end up a successful entrepreneur.” All eyes were fixed on Mr. Benson as participants scribbled down notes, hanging on to every word like bees to honey. When he finished his speech, he returned to his seat to thunderous applause, the hall echoing with admiration for his presentation. Mr. Benson stayed until the end of the program. Afterwards, he returned to his hotel room. As he was about to shower, his phone rang. “Hello, darling,” his wife’s voice chimed. “How was the conference?” “It was great,” Mr. Benson replied. “We just wrapped up, and I’ll be back home tomorrow.” “Wow!” Mrs. Benson exclaimed. “Do you know, sweetheart,” Mr. Benson added softly, “I missed you so much. I can’t wait to see your lovely face, your beautiful smile, and your embrace.” “I missed you too, darling,” she replied. “Wishing you a safe trip back to the state tomorrow.” “Goodbye, sweetheart,” said Mr. Benson. “Goodbye, darling,” she responded. He ended the call with a smile. At exactly 6:00 a.m. the next day, Mr. Benson went to the airport and boarded a flight back to South Africa. Even while seated on the airplane, his mind was already home, fixed on his lovely wife—home is where the heart is. When the plane landed at the airport in his state, he called his wife to let her know he had arrived. Overjoyed, Mrs. Benson sent one of her drivers to pick him up. Her heart raced with excitement as she anticipated her husband’s return. Hearing the sound of a car horn at the gate, she hurried to the main entrance. “Palu,” she called to the gate man, “don’t you know the sound of the car horn at the gate? Please open the door!” The driver drove into the compound. As her husband stepped out of the car, Mrs. Benson ran to him and wrapped him in a warm embrace. Mr. Benson hugged and kissed her in return. “My sweetheart, I missed you,” he said. “I missed you too,” Mrs. Benson replied, smiling brightly. “My darling,” she continued, “what you need to do now is take a shower, eat, and relax. Later, you can tell me all about the United Kingdom conference.” “As your ladyship pleases,” Mr. Benson replied with a playful bow. Mrs. Benson laughed as they entered the house together.
