Haskell Point of View:
While we were in the car, we talked about our hobbies and everything na hindi pa namin alam sa isa’t isa. Nakwento rin niya sa akin na she is training na to become a connect leader. And that if God’s willing, next month ay mageenroll na rin siya to become a Pastor. Nakwento ko rin naman na parng na inspired rin ako na maging leader ng connect, and if willing nga si God ay I will try rin mag train.
Kuya Raf is nakikipagkwentuhan rin sa ibang topic. Sobrang gaan lang talaga. Hanggang sa huminto na sa tapat ng bahay namin.
Haskell: Kuya Raf, Hesed, salamat ulit sa pagsabay. Ingat kayo. Uhm, Hesed, can we like have a lunch tomorrow?
Hesed: Sure. Just message me what time. See you tomorrow then.
Haskell: See you tomorrow. Ingat kayo. God bless
At umalis na sila. Ako naman ay pumasok na ng bahay. The reason why I didn’t bring my car tuwing service is because gamit rin ng parents ko at kapatid ko ito. Nauuna sila mag attend ng Sunday Service kay sa sa akin.
Nakita ko silang naghahanda na ng mesa para kumain kaya tumulong na rin ako. Nang okay na at nakahanda na ang lahat, sabay-sabay kaming umupo at nagdasal sa pangunguna ni Papa, bago kumain.
Pagkatapos kumain, nagpaalam muna ako kina Papa na aakyat muna ako sa kwarto para magbihis. I also looked for a great place kung saan magandang ayain si Hesed.
Then I liked Burrows Café in Antipolo. It has a nice ambiance and yung menu is something that both of us will enjoy. I booked a reservation, then I texted Hesed.
Haskell: Hi Hesed, I booked a reservation at 11:00 AM. Can I pick you up at 8 o’clock?
She replied immediately.
Hesed: Sure. See you at 8 bukas. It is casual lang naman di ba?
Haskell: Yes, casual lang. See you bukas. I can’t wait.
Hesed: Me too, actually. Hahaha. I am excited. This is my first friendly date.
Haskell: No way! Me too!
Hesed: Seryoso. NBSB ako kahit na nagbanda ako dati. And I really don’t do friendly dates with guys. Kahit pa naging pasaway ako at some point in my life. But ikaw? gwapo ka kaya.
Haskell: No Girlfriend Since Birth rin ako. Hahaha. I haven’t liked anybody until nung makita kita 3 years ago sa church. You were basking the presence of God and the Holy Spirit while singing. And for the first time, nagkaroon ako ng crush. It doesn’t help pang you are pretty.
Hesed: Grabe ka. Wala akong masabi. You fluttered me, sobra. You know, nagka crush naman ako sa iyo when Kuya introduced you and your connect group members, sa amin noon sa bahay. You were really intelligent kasi, and very articulate.
Haskell: Wow. I am really blushing hard, right now. Hahaha. I feel like my ears are color red.
Hesed: Hahahaha. You’re cute talaga. GTG muna. My parents called me for a family night. TTYL.
Haskell: Me too, actually! Talk to you later. Enjoy!
Tinawag nga ako ni Mama para manood ng pelikula sa sala. Pagkatapos ay nag dasal at worship kami, tsaka kumain ng hapunan. Pagkatapos maghapunan ay nagpaalam at nag goodnight na kami sa isa’t isa.
I opened my Laptop then nagpunta muna sa bathroom to take a shower, once done and tapos na rin magbihis, I checked my slack kung may mga set if questions na ba for the interview. I also played some Christian music while talking to my teammates. After naming maayos yung for the article, I set my work appointments rin for Tuesday. I will take a day off bukas para sa friendly date namin ni Hesed. After kong matapos, I shut down the Laptop and went to bed. I sent Hesed a message saying Good night, ngunit hindi na ito nagreply. Mukhang tulog na yata.
Then I prayed.
‘Heavenly Father, Thank you for the blessings that we have received today. Thank you for the gift of life po, and thank you for my family. Lord, I am praying po for guidance po para bukas. I hope that everything will be alright at will also be aligned with your plans. I love you po. Good night. Amen.’
I closed my eyes for I think 1 or 2 hours pero hindi ako makatulog. I decided to tweet. And then nag pray ulit.
‘Lord, help me sleep through all this excitement po. Help me calm my emotions po para makapag rest po ako. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.’
Then nakatulog na ako.
Kinabukasan, 6:00 AM pa lang, gising na ako. Agad akong naligo, nag gayak at nagpaalam sa parents ko at kapatid ko na aalis ako.
Then sinundo ko na si Hesed. And ako’y natulala pagkalabas niya ng gate. Siya ay naka dilaw na Sunday dress, at bagay na bagay iyon sa kanyang Morena skin, at balingkinitan na pangangatawan. She wore very light make up na ikinatuwa ko. She doesn’t need make up dahil she’s beautiful without it.
Then she smiled when I offered her my hands at inalalayan ko siya hanggang sa tapat ng pinto ng passenger side. I opened it at inalalayan ko siyang sumakay, then I closed the door at tumungo na sa driver seat, then I started to drive.
Haskell: Good morning. You look so lovely.
Hesed: *who smiled again.* Good morning. You look dashing, yourself. Anyway, sa’n pala tayo pupunta?
Haskell: Hahaha. Secret. But I know, you will love the place.
Tapos, nilingon ko siya. Which is wrong move on my part kasi nagpout siya, and those adorable expression plus her pouty lips makes it almost impossible to stop myself from kissing her. I instantly looked back sa harapan and tinuon ang pansin sa pagmamaneho habang nagdadasal na gabayan ako ni Lord.
Ilang saglit ay nagsalita siyang muli.
Hesed: Can I turn on your radio, then connect it on my phone?
Haskell: Sure, no problem.
Then we both reached for the power button at the same time. Para akong naground nung magtama yung mga daliri namin. Then we both looked at each other. Nalulunod ako sa kanyang expressive na mga mata — mga matang naging dahilan kung bakit ko siya unang nagustuhan. At sabay kaming nagbawi ng tingin. Nakaramdam ako ng pag-init ng aking mukha.
‘Lord, help me po. Help me po to honor you, at honor her. Help me to become more patient and to not succumb into temptation.’
