DANCE LITTLE GIRL

1093 Words
Her eyes became wide in shock. She could not believe she had taken the life of a puppy that had once come to her and had played with her. She looked at Jude in anger. "so this is what you wanted, for me to shoot a puppy" Jude took bottled water from the table, uncapped the bottled water, and took a gulp. After that did he answer her. "don't get stressed up for this. You will get used to it" he said. Susan could not believe him, but in the end, she had gotten used to it, mastered it, and implemented it. She shook her head at him. "so one day you're going to take a gun and you're going to shoot at me." "This is a training Susan and this dog was bought for that purpose. He said. All the while they've been there, Michael had not said a word. She turned to look at him but he looked unaffected by it he too was one of Jude's men so he must have gotten used to being heartless too Susan thought. She ran up the stairs that had led them down there. Reaching the top, the door, slide opened to review the study room. She ran out of the building to the house, then to her. She closed the door and locked it. All she could see was the bloody and lifeless dog. She rubbed her hair through her hair and laid on the bed she thought of the girl she used to be and the girl she was about to be. They were two walls apart. She felt like a murderer, a killer and that was what she wanted to be. She became quite tired of crying. Maybe she would get used to it as Jude had said she thought and with that, she closed her eyes and let sleep take away the trouble of worrying. A soft knock on the door woke her up from her sleep. she rolled on the bed as the knock continued then used her pillow to cover her ear. thought it was Jude and did not want to speak to him. But then, Aunt Parie's soft voice called her name. she breathed out a sigh of relief, then rose from the bed to open the door for her. Aunt Parie stood at the front of her door holding a glass of water. She shifted aside for her to come inside the room. After Parie had entered, Susan went to the bed and sat down, Parie sat down beside her and gave her a glass of water she took the glass of water and gulped the whole water down she had not she was thirsty until now. Aunt Parie smiled at how thirsty she was. "do you need another glass?" she asked. Susan shook her head "no" she did not want to stress the woman. She dropped the empty glass on the stool in front of her and remained silent she did not know what to say to her because she felt like a different person from the other girl that Parie had come to know. "Do you know me?" Susan thirsted. Aunt Parie smiled. "of course I recognized you the very time I saw you. Susan furrowed her brows and pouted. She thought the woman was too observant but quiet. "Are you okay?" Parie asked. Susan looked up at her she did not see the question as poke-nosing but as being concerned. so she told her the story of the dog and how she had shut it dead. Parie listened to her as she told everything. It was the first time for her to hear of a secret passage. Whenever she entered the study room, she saw nothing out of the ordinary, only a library filled with books and maps of different countries. She thought coming close to the girl was not after all a bad idea. "Don't worry you will be fine" she comforted her. "He's only training you for the future," she said. Susan nodded. She had also stopped blaming him in her mind. The door to her room opened to have Jude come inside. Parie was already standing, about to leave. Jude looked at Parie then at Susan he wondered what she was doing in her room especially since he had not sent her to her. "Parie?" he questioned. Parie gave a smile. "I saw the new miss running to her room so I thought I should send her a glass of water. "okay" he responded, not doubting her response. He had no idea that the cook already knew about Susan and his training room. He had always been careful with information around her. He did not trust that woman. Staying in his house was only part of the bargain. He watched Parie leave the room. Then went to Susan who took her face away from him. He knew she was still unhappy. He sat beside her and tried to rub her shoulder but she swept his hands away. He smiled at her action. "I never knew you keep malice," he said. She did not say anything to him. She only stared blankly at the door. “you can take a walk to clear your mind. Talk to me when you can” he said and then left the room. It was already evening and Susan was still on the bed. She thought she should shower and then take a walk as Jude had advised. She took the leather jacket off. She remembered how happy she had been putting it on only to have her mood ruined. She opened the wardrobe to know the kind of clothing that was there but found only the purple gown a nightmare and a few dresses that weren't her size. She took out the purple dress and dropped it on her bed, then went for a shower. The bath was cool and warm. She did not stay for long, unlike the first time when she felt like staying in the bath forever. She took the hanging towel and wrapped her body with it. Her hair, she had covered it with a shower cap. She did not want to ruin the perfect handwork of miss Charlie. For her fake face, she had said that she would come back to the mall after two weeks to change it. She went to the room, picked up the purple dress, and put it on. When she was ready with no makeup on, just with the simple dress, she left the house.
