9. Call From Mom

1277 Words
When Bara is focusing on work and Nayya is studying dance. Suddenly, his cell phone rang indicating that someone had called him. If it was someone else, then Bara would ignore it. But for this ringing, he couldn't ignore it. "Hello, Mom." "Assalamualaikum, honey." Her mother reprimanded her so that Bara smiled shyly, forgetting that her mother highly respected religious values. "Waalaikumsalam, Mom." Born to a mother who obeys religious orders, Bara's family has never done anything forbidden. Bara even grew into a good man, but because of an incident he forgot all the teachings of his mother, including Allah SWT. It's not that the mother never reprimanded him, but everything was like a fairy tale for him. Never done or even remembered. "I heard you're married? Why didn't you tell me about your marriage? Is there something you're hiding, like you marrying a woman who is carrying your child." Bara knew that everything she had kept so tightly covered her mother would find out. Fortunately, he had done the marriage procedure according to Islamic law. "Yes, Mom. I was married, but I never got my wife pregnant. I never even touched her." His mother always taught him to be a good man. Never spoil a woman and if you really want to get married, just tell her parents. Dominic's family would definitely help him. "Then how did you get married without telling us, son?" Diana Ross Barkely, mother of Albara became very curious about her son's marriage. Diana even began to guess what her son's plans were to get married. "Because I don't want my greedy wife's family to know I'm from Dominic's, Mom! I don't want them to manipulate me into replacing the woman I want to marry with their favorite daughter." Diana was getting confused, curious to be sure. Not understanding the son's plan and curious who the woman who has become his son-in-law is. "Tell Mommy. What family do you come from?" Since she was already married, Diana would definitely accept her daughter-in-law with open arms. As long as the son is happy with his choice, then Dominic's family will definitely accept it. “She is from the Cannor family, Mom! But not the daughter of that man's illicit affair.” Javior's infidelity and Pevina's identity have become widespread in society. With the existing culture, some people hate Javior's actions and often call Pevina an illegitimate child. Even though they know that in this world there is no such thing as an illegitimate child, society still gives Vina an illegitimate label. "Is he the son of the first wife?" Not trying to prolong the disgraceful story of the Cannor family. Diana changed the subject. "Yes, Mom. Her name is Ainayya Hikari Salvina. She is a good girl. Everyone in the house is also happy to have her." Hearing the son's tone of praise for Nayya made Diana relieved. Rarely complimenting others is Bara's habit. In fact, it was highly unlikely that his son would do such a thing for a woman he just met. The husband who happened to see his wife's beautiful smile was happy. It should be noted that Diana married a man from Germany, named Nicholas Dominic. They met when Diana was completing her master's degree in Germany. Matchmaking never really knew. Nicholas, a non-Muslim, decided to follow his wife's beliefs. They started everything from scratch. After getting married and following his wife he moved to Indonesia. Nic, the nickname Diana gave him, felt that his life was calmer. Nicholad studied more about Islam and knew that Allah SWT always helps those who want to try. And he is an example, not wanting to trouble the Dominics and the Barkelys, Nic invites his wife to live independently. Everything started from Zero until now they can be a rich family. Nic said all his success came from the help of Allah SWT through his wife and children. "Are you married according to Islamic law, son?" As mentioned, fortunately Bara married according to Islamic law. If he did it carelessly, maybe now his mother was angry and asked him to go home with Nayya. The marriage contract is also carried out via video call so as not to invite much attention. Bara also doesn't want Javior to find out about her identity. "Yes, Mom. I did the contract via video call, witnessed by his father and the witnesses at KUA." Because Javior is not willing to become a marriage guardian for his own daughter, Bara is forced to make an consent form with the guardian judge at the KUA office. Bara also didn't forget to change her appearance so that Javior still thought she was old and ugly. Bara did the marriage contract when Nayya was on her way to her house. Javior who had seen Nayya's departure immediately rushed to KUA. Even though he is not really interested in Nayya's marriage. But in order to get quite a lot of gold kawain from Bara. Javior is willing to witness the ceremony. "Don't tell me his dad doesn't want to be his guardian," Diana guessed. "You're right, but please don't tell Nayya. I don't want her to be saddened by her father's rejection, Mom!" Cruel! That's what Diana thought of Javior. He was not willing to be a marriage guardian for the daughter, so he deserved to be called a father. "He's really terrible, son! How can he be so cruel to his own daughter." "If you knew how they treat Nayya and her mother, you might hate the Cannors a lot." Diana and Nic begin to guess what Nayya's life will be like. They knew that Javior only recognized Pevina as his daughter. Meanwhile, Nayya is only a child on a birth certificate. Even the family card belonging to the Cannor family had crossed out the names of Ainayya and her mother. "Then when will you bring Nayya home?" For reception reasons, Diana didn't want to make a sound. If the Cannors knew they would make a fuss, Nayya was married to the Dominics. This made Diana remove the reception list in her plans if the son married. "Let me think about it, Mom! Maybe after the daughter of the Cannor family married a man named Leonal." Bara was confused, didn't know what her marriage would be like in the future. Can he and Nayya divorce amicably after Dominic's family finds out about their marriage? "Okay, that's a good thing. But can you visit? I'm very curious about your daughter-in-law." "Sure. But don't stress him out. He's also very introverted to people he just met. So you shouldn't show your fierce face." Diana got annoyed at the spin. He wasn't fierce at all. Even his daughter-in-law was never like that. "When did you become a fierce mother-in-law? Don't you know that your older brother's wife loves you very much because she is your ideal mother-in-law. Your sister's husband even always takes the time to greet mother." Just laughed a little. He was just teasing his mother. He believed that his mother was not the fierce type of in-laws. "I don't care. Most importantly, you can't be the evil mother-in-law in the movies you always see on television." Nic laughed when he heard his son's words. He agreed with the son. His wife loved watching television shows about evil mothers-in-law and women who took other women's husbands. And oddly enough, even though she always got angry when she watched the show, Diana still liked seeing it. "Then Bara hangs up. Assalamualaikum, mother!" Fear of hearing her mother's nagging made Bara quickly hang up the phone. Without letting Diana answer the greeting first.
