Alissa stood in front of the mirror in a small shared room. She took in her messy strawberry blonde hair and the bruise next to her fox-like gray eyes.
She sighed, exasperated. She was already used to this treatment. After all, she was no use to any of them and didn't bring in money.
This had been her life for nineteen years now. She didn't have any friends or family here. Everyone only looked out for themselves and would do anything to take another person's shine.
It was survival of the fittest, or the prettiest in this case.
Alissa blinked and got herself out of her thoughts.
She went to a small cabinet by the bed and took out a first aid kit.
Normally, as a werewolf, she wouldn't need this as she would have been able to heal in no time.
But she was different.
She hadn't gotten her wolf till that moment.
To others it would be a bad thing, even a curse. But to her it was a blessing. It seemed the moon goddess heard at least one of her prayers.
Because if she had gotten her wolf she would have been auctioned off in no time at all to some rich dude with a weird kink.
So she was thankful for that.
But that meant she got to be maltreated more than others.
Luckily no one had touched her yet. They reckoned that even if she didn't have a wolf she would still fetch a lot of cash because of her uniqueness and beauty.
The plan was to wait till she was twenty, if she didn't still get a wolf then she would be auctioned off at an exorbitant price or made to serve customers.
There were two ways things were run here. If a girl was very pretty; then she would be auctioned off.
But if you were not that attractive, then you would be forced to sell your body here to different men.
It was very difficult for any girl here to find her mate, because obviously not many know of this place.
The last time it happened was in the old location. And it caused quite a mess.
Some captives were given the choice to either be sold off or to work and earn then after a period of time they will be released.
But Alissa was sure those girls that were released didn't make It out alive.
During her years here she had experienced the ruthlessness of these people.
She had been abused, forced to work and beaten for no reason. She had also seen people being killed.
Even her fellow captives hated her for no reason.
But that didn't stop her from wanting to meet that man.
Those blue eyes, she wanted to see them again, not only see, but to own them.
After that incident ten years ago and after being captured again, She did see him once when she sneaked into the bar in disguise.
That was one of the reasons she also got into trouble most times. She grew up here for years, so naturally she had some amiable relationships with some of the men.
She was smart so she knew that acting stubborn will do her no good. So she acted like she was resigned to her fate and would do anything they asked.
And that granted her some amnesty but not always too.
The night she met him again was two years ago.
That night after cleaning one of the rooms where a customer probably had fun with one of the ladies.
She saw some ladies clothes.
It was skimpy and looked new. She didn't know where it came from. Maybe it was the client's own but she saw it as an opportunity.
She had mastered the location and rotation of the guards and she didn't have a scent so that made it easy for her to move to anywhere she wanted.
She took the clothes to a small cubicle in one corner and from her. She always had a paper and pen with her because this was not the first time she did this.
That's how she got to get some bits of information about the outside world and also the fact that her dear savior from 10 years ago was alpha of the RedFang pack and that he had visited the bar before, that's why she had hope that he would come back.
Of course she also kind of had an informant because a random stranger would not just give her information anytime she sneaked out.
Over the years, after failing for so long in getting any intel, she finally recognised somebody from the orphanage where she stayed briefly when she was nine. From there that person always provided information to her.
But they hardly met and whenever they did she was always careful and had limited time so her knowledge was still sparse. But what she had was enough for her.
The last stage of her plan was to somehow lure the alpha to this place and then she would do anything for him to save her again.
After writing down the same thing on the note like always. She then changed into to clothes, mixing it with hers and somehow changing her look.
She checked a secret compartment in the cubicle that anyone hardly checked and she took out a black wig. She wore it and used lipstick to cover her lips and blush her face.
She then stepped out and made her way carefully down the hallways. Anytime she heard a sound she would hide behind a wall or pillar.
If it were any other person they wouldn't be willing to take the risk like this. They would always need meticulous planning.
But that was not Alissa. She was always ready to step in if the situation allowed.
She was just that desperate, she had no plan but was always ready to take the risk. After all if she got caught she wouldn't be killed but only beaten, and she was used to it even though she couldn't heal fast like other werewolves.
She managed to scale her way through the security and reached the staircase that led up to the bar side.
There would be guards standing there at this moment so she had to distract them somehow. By now they were used to her old tricks so she had to do something different.
She had an idea but it was a fifty percent chance of success. She was about to do something when she spotted a client coming towards the area.
He looked a bit intoxicated as his steps were not that straight.
Once he came closer she quickly took that chance to act intoxicated and join him.
Seeing a very young girl suddenly lean on him the middle aged man squinted.
He saw that she was very pretty and thought to take advantage of her intoxication. He then put his hand around he shoulder.
“Young girl, you are very drunk, let me give you a hand to go upstairs”.
Alissa used that opportunity to play along. She acted very weak and delicate.
“I'm so tired and dizzy, please don't let them stop me. I might just faint, I just want to leave here handsome mister” she said in a very sweet voice.
The drunk man smiled, “leave it to me, just lean on me. I'll take care of you,”.
And so she did that and they made their way up the stairs, when she got there of course the guards were suspicious. But the man might be quite an important guest because upon his insistence, they let Alissa and the man pass.
It seemed like they didn't want to offend the man.
Alissa smiled in victory once they got past the guards.
Now, where should she start looking for her beautiful man….
M/N: This little throwback
is an important part of the plot so I had to add it here.
It'll be concluded in the next chapter hopefully.:,-)
