Punishment

Alissa walked behind the woman down the hallways. The two female guards were constant shadows behind her. As if she could run or something. She rolled her eyes. Soon they went through darker corridors where only their footsteps could be heard. They reach a heavy looking steel door which she had never seen before before. The lady brought out a key and inserted it, the door was unlocked and she followed the woman inside. Inside was another hallway. They walked through till they got to a door that required facial verification to let someone through. If others that grew in the dark like her saw this, they would be amazed but she didn't care about anything. She only wanted to get out and meet her Alpha. They now reached an elevator. It was a very short ride. They stepped out into a cleaner, slightly brighter and bigger hallway. They passed by a couple of doors before reaching the largest one at the end of the hallway. When Alissa entered the first thing she noticed was that there was not window. Not in the hallway and not at any point in their journey. It seemed like they were still somehow underground. This looked like his office, this wasn't where she saw him last time. The next thing she noticed were the two bodies lying in a pool of blood by the corner of the room. They seemed dead, she recognised them. It was those two feral men. But she didn't think they would be killed. She quickly looked away. It wasn't her business. Mr. Marcel was on a call when they entered. Laughing at something with someone. But the smile on his face looked fake. She looked at him. Mr. Marcel. The man who ran this hellhole, took away innocent lives however he wanted and controlled the lives of countless young children and women. It's worse that a werewolf can hardly function without a pack so that's why the girls never had a voice or the strength to fight. Not even once. But that wasn't Alissa, she had a goal and she would achieve it no matter what. After some minutes the man finally hung up that call. His whole demaneanor then changed to something that seemed friendly but distant. He looked up, a small smile on his face. “We meet again, Alissa”. He said. There was something about the way he called her name that gave Alissa goosebumps. She didn't like it. “So, tell me what happened back there” he clasped his hands together and leaned forward as he asked. Alissa swallowed. This man was already getting under her skin, but she took a deep breath to compose herself before speaking. “I was called to help, and I did so” He just stared at her in silence for a while. Alissa pursed her lips. Waiting for him to speak. “Do you know the rules of this place?”. He asked. “Yes I do” “Then you should know that we don't tolerate any of them being broken…. Now what does the third rule state?”. He asked, now playing with a pen on his desk. She scrunched up her brow as if trying to remember and then shook her head. “I don't remember”. She said, Which was a lie of course. But admitting it would only make things worse. He stared intensely as if trying to see through her. He knew she was lying but she was good at acting so he just let it slide. He looked at the lady that brought Alissa. “Mira, please do tell our dear Alissa what the third rule states”. Mira smiled slightly at him “Of course Mr. Marcel”. She then turned to Alissa. “The third rule states that no guests or participants are to hurt or fight, in any condition, a guard or worker of the organisation”. Alissa almost gagged from the way the girls were addressed as guests and participants. What a sick thing to do. They even called themselves an organization. What a joke. But she couldn't do anything but shut up and listen to something she had heard more than enough times. When the lady finished everyone looked at Alissa. She cleared her throat. “Well, the situation called for it and now I know. I promise it won't repeat itself”. She really hoped this man would let it slide, she wasn't in the mood for pain. After all she couldn't heal magically like them. Mr Marcel leaned back on his chair before speaking. “There were other ways you could have gone about it than knocking them out so brutally”. “It was the only thing I could think of, and if they are already dead I guess there's no problem then…” Alissa said in hope. Mr. Marcel laughed at that. It started as a small chuckle to a full on laugh that shook his whole body. He had to wipe tears from the corner of his eyes as he calmed down. He shook his head. “Oh Alissa, you should know me by now. I don't like weak people and I like people that break my rules even less. All they had to do was evacuate on time and control themselves but they couldn't do just that so I have no use for them.” Alissa swallowed. Was this also going to be her fate?. She shook those thoughts out. No, they needed her. If not they wouldn't have gone through so much trouble to recapture her, they even waited for her to get her wolf. So she wouldn't be killed. But that didn't mean this wasn't getting under her skin more and more. Why couldn't they let her go over a simple mistake. Well, even though it technically wasn't because she knew the rules. After all the men were already dead, so what did he want to prove. She resisted the urge to roll her eyes again. “So, how would you like to be punished Alissa?” Marcel asked. ‘Is this a trap question?’ Alissa thought. She wondered if she should just say that she would clean the whole place or something like that. But she knew that's not the kind of punishment this man was talking about. So she boldly asked. “What are the options you have?” She'd just pick the less painful one. Or so she thought, because immediately Marcel stood up. His whole demeanor changed, he was frowning so hard his face almost turned black. It seemed like he was….angry. ‘oh oh, what did I do now?’. Alissa thought.
