Meeting The Real Hunter

"One?" "One." I repeat. "But what happens next?" "What do you mean?" I mumble. It's not a god damn story. "I gave you this," she waves a book in the air, my dream journal, I know it's stupid, but it helps me keep track. "So, you can write your feelings after what you have seen, but nothing." she places the book back down onto her sort of clean desk and sighs. "You just have to trust me. Tell me what you feel, truly Violet." "You want me to truly tell you about me dreaming of the devil and having sleep paralysis?" I reply as less sarcastic as I could. It just seems pointless at this point. "Yes, exactly." My lovely doctor agrees. "Tiering, it's a bit sad and makes me feel as if I am going crazy. I'm sorry, not crazy,' she hates that word. 'Insane.' Like, that's any better. 'Just different. I want it to stop. And I don't know how writing it down in that small book is going to help, that's all.' 'It will, trust me.' ... 'has anything changed?' 'My dreams?' I spoke. 'Yes'. 'The devil. I think. He hasn't shown up before in my dream.' I thought. 'Do you know the reason why? Has something drastically changed in your life recently? Are you failing a subject?' I wouldn't know why my studies have anything to do with the devil, 'has anyone died?' She tries so hard to find the answer to my demons. 'No nothing like that.' I mumble. 'Are you scared of death, Violet?' 'Of course, isn't everyone?' she sighs from my words. But am I wrong? 'You see, sleep paralysis comes from anxiety, most of the time, some people wake up believing that they saw someone at the bottom of their bed, a man, a shadow,' The demon. 'Some say that they dream of the devil, telling them to do evil, or believe that death was coming for them. The devil we believe is the king of hell, correct. But if you start to believe that he is good, and trying to keep evil away from us, then maybe you can just let him in, don't fight it violet, one of the five will always bow down to the king of the damned, no matter how far you run, how much you fight him, he will always win...' 'Violet.' ... 'Violet?' "I'm sorry. What were you saying?' 'I was saying that our time is up.' her blue eyes gaze at mine, and her giant inhale startles me. 'Would you like me to prescribe you some zopiclone? it's a sleeping tablet, just for the week to see how it goes?' 'Erm, no thank you, I think I should be okay.' I grab onto the book from off the desk and stand from my chair. 'Stay safe, Violet, same time next week?' 'Sure' this never helps anyway. As I left her, I took a good glance around her office, where there were piles of dozens of folders, full of crazy people. And finally, walk out. Where the classic music plays and leather chairs and small coffee tables, a typical clinic, and sat a few figures of humans waiting to tell that one lady how crazy they are, but I'm no better than them, I'm full of crazy and so is my life so far... In the dark, I scratch the match, I hold it in my hand until the flame burns my fingertips, it's a way for me to find comfort, if this is a dream, or if I am awake. After finding out what kind of beast I have become, I believe now that my life has finally changed entirely, always believing that humans are near the top of the food chain, now believing they are at the very bottom. Wolf, I guess. I hope it is transitioning into a wolf, so technically I'm a werewolf. It's still so foreign to my tongue. I suppose I got it from my father, as my mother hasn't spoken to me about it, even when I hint about werewolves, randomly. But now I guess humans are now the decoy of the name Planet Earth, I may not be the only one out there, or maybe not the only supernatural, I hope not, if I am not then the other myths are true. But I do want to find the truth, eventually, in this lifetime, however no matter how close I get, I still feel alone, and end up back where I started, and that's the only way I know how to survive, until now. 'Vi? Are you listening, Violet?' The screams of constant whispers travel through my sensitive ears, as I control the need to transform into a beast these people may fear, the beast, I fear. I look around for that thrilling smell. It calms my temptation to change, and then it punches me in my gut. My senses become excited, my chest rises and falls, my friend's voice goes over me, once again. As if I am lost in concentration, the aroma feels as if it is coming from everywhere. Where are you? 'How was your doctor's appointment?' 'Shh. Anna, I don't want everyone knowing that I am crazy.' 'You are crazy. Well, a little. But you could always you know, talk to me about it...' and there it was, everything decelerates, Annas small glossy pink lips break, the deep voice soon starts to slow down and dissolve from her mouth, the shoes drumming on the college grounds, the lockers crashing together, and the hoots from the guys disappear also. My pupils dilated, the impossible became possible and so much more, 'Hunter?' Am I here, or am I still in a dream, a dream of hope I've had many times before, I am not alone! I fiddle in my pocket to get a match, but I don't want to lose sight of what I have been searching for. 'Violetta. Do you know who I am?' The darkness rises, the blue moon highlights the sharp bones on his fair skin, his lip curls into a smirk. His body forms its own steam, and his ripped boxers tighten around his thighs and other things. His abs are fitted, and his tanned skin shines and curves around his muscles. His dark hair was covered in dirt and all sports of mess that brightened his face more, his unidentified face. He walks closer out from the trees and comes closer towards me. My heart races, the air inside me traps itself, I can smell him, I know that sounds weird, but he smells like family. But am I scared? Excited? I close my eyes knowing the sight of him can change the hold I have over the wolf I have inside me. But why? How does he have this control over me? How is he doing this? His body slightly touches mine. His boiling hot body. 'Violetta? 'His deep, soothing voice whispers through my light brown curls and into my small pointy ears, my wolf ears. 'Yes,' I hid my excitement. 'Who's that. Look' he says with aggression. My emotions became alarmed, my spiced green eyes travelled to what was in front of me, and it was here, something I had been hiding from, and now it was here. Its red eyes, it white spiked fur, its sharp teeth growls at me. I'm stuck, my heart thumps out of my chest, and it breaks into pieces. 'I can't' ... 'PLEASE DON'T MAKE ME.' The elegant creature strikes towards me like a hunter about to slaughter the beast. 'Violetta.' ...
