My eyes opened just like in a dream, the vision of someone walking away from me, in the damp wet forest, must have saved me, his long black coat shifted in the wind as if the world had slowed down, and the forest around felt oddly misty, the guy that was in front of me disappeared. How can I thank him? The mist above makes it unbearable to breathe, it makes me weak...
I force open my eyes again, but this time I am floating, "Tae?" The warmth surrounds my moist skin, and my arms hang low, I try and bring them to my chest, the burning and hammering pain in my chest, but they won't move. My eyes blur and the shape of the person holding me comes to reality, his strange expression dazzles me, confused that I know his name, he must have saved me, that is the only reason why I am out, but why did he leave me back there? His almond-shaped golden eyes smile at me, although his facial expressions tell me something else, I can finally see his face.
"You can rest now." ... "I'm here." ... "Sorry I'm late." My Korean was never very good, while I was fading it was hard to understand. Once we got close to the alpha home, it felt like my whole body was paralyzed, and my head was burning, Tae slowed down as he got closer to the house, he held me tighter, and for a moment he stopped, like he didn't want to let go, "Tae" I said again, and again his eyebrows crease, 'Princess?' He questions.
"Don't leave me.' I whimper. I don't want him to leave again, to him this is the first time seeing me after the attack but to me I have seen his almost every week since. His arms around me slowly released me onto the floor, and I laid there feeling hopeless the only light beams from the stairs. His eyes became level with mine as he crouched, his warm light tanned hands moving the curls from out of my face, "When they come out, tell them straight away, 'Black Crystal,' okay?".
"Black crystal." I stutter as I say it. He nods his head and stands, "Wait. Tae!" He stops at my words. "Will you stay with me? The dark..."
"You will see me again, okay." He turns back around and walks away from me back into the forest, a strange white noise burns through my ears. Moments later Hunter shouts for his father and runs towards me, the only thing I want to say to him is help. Stop Tae. Bring him back for me, I need him here with me. But I cannot waste my last words. Hunter comes running towards me, he wraps his arms under my paralyzed body, and my mouth trembles to talk, Hunter quiets me but I force my words.
