Dreams Do Come True

"Where have you been?" I sigh, I could have had a heart attack. "You know where I have been, with Jake" I place the bag off my shoulder as I stand there with the door wide open and searching for information on her weird facial expression, eyes wide open, and gradually looking to her left. "What?" Her lips also pull at me, and she clears her throat, moments after he appears. The most unknown, unrealistic person I have ever seen, his sharp beautiful, and handsome characters throw me every time I see him. The way I feel around him then I do with Hunter, I feel pulled, I feel sexualized by him, with Hunter I feel safe and protected. But Luka. I know I know the difference and I love that; I can have that human side in my life. "Violet". A whisper travels to my ears. My eyes pulled away from Luka and dragged me to Annas. "Yes," I gulp. I look back and forward to Anna. "Oh yes, Luka" A massive grin crosses my face, what am I doing? Now I clear my throat. "If you would excuse us" I smiled. He bows his head at me, with a whole lot of respect and walks out of the room closing the door behind him. I turn straight around and wide-eyed Anna. "I know" She mouths. "You were with Jake." Her eyes widened. "Not like that, we are just friends." She rolls her eyes as she walks over towards me and nudges me aside. "So, what does Luka want?" I ask. "I don't know, ask him yourself." She laughs walking into the bathroom and closing the door. "s**t" I spoke, listening to her laugh more. I walked towards the door and embarrassingly apologized. "Hi," I stutter. An immense smile crossed his faultless face. "Hi"... "Again" "So how can I help you?" I drift off. "You forgot to give my book back." "Your book?" I stood up straight and came back to reality. "Romeo and Juliet?" He questions. "Oh god yes." I walked over towards the bag I placed near my bed and opened it to find the book behind my scarf. Did I have this with me? "Please don't report me for theft" I laughed as I handed over the book. "I cannot promise that" I bite my bottom lip to keep me from saying something stupid. Like I love you, I think you are gorgeous, marry me? I stood shocked at my thoughts. I'm so glad he cannot read minds. "Are you busy?" my eyebrows crease. "Erm, not at the moment, why?" I mumble. "Go for a walk with me, I want to show you something. And I think it's a bit late for dinner, don't you?" ... "You are not going to kill me, are you?" "What makes you say that?" He mumbles, I wait, looking at the forest as we walk closer towards it. "No." He laughs. "There is something hidden in the forest, and I want to show you. Do you trust me?" "No." "Okay. Then let's go back." I grab his arm to stop him. "How far is it?" "Not far. It's close. And aren't you supposed to be the serial killer?" "I could be," I whisper, well what could happen, I am a werewolf, after all, he has no chance against me. He laughs. Oh, his voice when he laughs. I wish Hunter would laugh occasionally. Instead of history this, and history that, I admire his image. As a human he looks different in real life, his chest, back, arms, should I bite him? Or was it something about sharing blood? That seems more vampire-like. But even if I have feelings for him, he is still human, biting him is against the law. It is treason. Well, I think it is. "Thank you," He held a branch with his back as he helped me over this log, my wedges slipped on the moss, and he grabbed my waist and held me tight, "Are you okay?" He asks, but he doesn't need to, nothing can hurt me anyway. I don't feel pain like he does... "Get up." He chuckles. "Are you not going to help me?" I gasped as he stepped over the ditch and left me. "Sure." He walks over and stops over the ditch. "I will wait here, so you don't trip again." I stood and wiped the dirt off my legs. "What kind of guardian leaves me." "I didn't leave you." He laughs. "Oh, so he can laugh?" As usual, for my pain. He scoffs walking past me. I stop; "Arhhh." I suddenly cried, holding my ankle. "What happened? Are you okay?" He swirled and as he did, I stood in front and pushed him slightly, he fell, I didn't mean to. But I didn't know there was a slope. I looked over and watched as he ground his teeth, pushing himself to stand, I couldn't help but laugh, he looked furious. "Are you okay?" I smirked, "I'll stand here, so you don't fall again." ... "Are you okay?" The branch behind him spiked through his tight shirt. "Let me help you." I plucked away the branch as he stepped down. "Thanks." The walk felt like seconds, but we had walked a long way away from the school. The sound of raindrops filled my senses, and the freshwater that hit the pond splashed everywhere. "How did you find this place?" It was well hidden, and I made sure of that. "My family owns this property, '' he points up to where smoke and a small flicker of light show through the trees, miles out. "This property?" I point underneath me; he agrees Walking over towards the rocks that stood upon the water, he takes his shoes off and slips his feet in. "Are you coming?" The water felt strangely warm. The clear fish swam freely. "It's peaceful." He whispers. And I love the quiet, no distractions, just calm. "Yes. And beautiful." I mumble. "Very." I glance to the side, my lips tremble for the first time in my entire life, I feel hot, I feel overwhelmed, he is either admiring my beauty or we both have staring problems, but he doesn't look away, I smile nervously, I have never been nervous before. His hand reaches for my cheeks, his cooling hands. I flinch, his finger guides my chin up as they find his lips. He waits, staring deep into my eyes, but I don't know what to do, he can probably hear my heart, my stupid wolf heart, his lips curled into a grin before he slowly presses his lips onto mine. Am I stupid? I have only known him for five seconds. His hand found mine that clenched, and his hand stroked my cheek, my hand finally found its way to his neck, and towards his hair, his lips were so gentle, so soft, so warm. But they left me, I didn't know what to do but I kept my eyes closed for a brief second to catch my breath. I moved my eyes, my hideous wolf eyes away from his, where they appeared to brighten. I hope he didn't notice. Is that why he stopped? "I am sorry, I shouldn't have done that." I place my fingers towards my lips, I still feel trapped in the moment, my first kiss. "No, don't apologize. It's okay," I whisper. But I didn't, otherwise I would have stopped him. But am I doing this because he is Luka or Hunter? I mean I have known Luka for a couple of weeks, but Hunter it has been months. "No, you don't understand, I cannot. We should go." "Sure," I whisper. He jumps from off the rock and into the water, I wait, I want to pull a tantrum right here, right now, but I was never like that. He helped me down the rock, and his lips were just inches away from mine, I wanted to touch them again, I wanted his hands on me again, but he walked off before I could hold him. The walk back was silent, small talk here and there, but silent, we stopped outside my dorm. "Thank you," "You are most welcome," He spoke. I reached to move his wet hair from his eyes, I tiptoe, he is taller than me, his smile fades and his lips twitch itching to meet mine. But he moves his head slightly. "Good night, Luka." I move my hands away from his warm body, turning and walking towards the doors. "Goodnight Violet." He whispers. I could turn now, go back, hug him, shout at him, take him back with me. But he was gone. My flower dress brushed past my legs as I walked up the stairs towards the dorm. I took my keys out of my bag, and I paused. My chest aches, if this was like a horror movie, the light behind me would have flickered, a normal person would have called the cops, but the other people in the movie would have gone in. I don't know why I didn't realize it sooner, I needed to change my dress, to another one, this stupid dress, but would that have changed the outcome of my nightmare? My clammy palm grips the metal knob, I twist it, and my eyes endure the darkness. I don't think she is here; I don't want to believe it. The door swung open; my eyes filled with tears before I could enter. And just like my dream, I rushed straight for the window, "Anna!" I scream, I rush back and grab the bat, to head out the door. "How?" A huge thing stood in the doorway; his stench was intoxicating; I was too late. His grin was wicked. I swung, but it was impeccable. He grabbed the bat, I struggled but as I let go, I had fallen backwards, and as if his hands were already on my throat, I choked. I wait no longer, I rush back to my feet and head towards the window, but I am too late, the large hands grip the back of my neck, it tightens, and he throws me against the wall, and the oxygen leaves my brain, my eyes blur, I see him coming towards me, I try and stand but the broken wood in my leg made it impossible. "Let me go!" I squeal, my eyes awaken, my throat burns, and every word I scream feels like an iron rod piercing through my brain, like before. He covers my mouth and picks me up as if I am nothing, the light blinds my sore eyes. He carried my body towards the black car, I knew I had failed to overthrow this dream. Maybe this is a dream, maybe I am not here. The boot slowly opened, the wolf within me began to whimper, my frightened eyes scattered around the school grounds. No one could help me...
