Brandon Jay's face turned purple with fury. "If you weren't sure about your feelings, why did you promise Sara you would marry her? Why give her hope, only to cruelly snuff it out? Is this how you protect her?"
Liam Martin's usually gentle face also took on a hint of coldness. "If you had told me about the Bishop family's situation earlier — if you had told me Chloe Bishop had gone to Xavier Grayson — none of this would have happened."
They all knew she had gone to that matchmaking banquet at the Grayson household, yet no one had told him. He had been left completely in the dark.
