Episode 005

Enzo's POV I gazed at the young girl, her honey-colored eyes fixed on mine. Everything around me disappears for a second. My heart seems to stop, and my knees feel weak. I never realized I had a daughter, but it's her, Sera stole my daughter and has been hiding her ever since. She tugs at her mother's hand to ask for help. After giving her a smile, Sera picks her up and gently rests her on her hips. I can't take my eyes off of them. It is clear that they are deeply in love. It should be me who protects, teaches, and holds my daughter. "Viper..." Her once-warm voice has turned icy. I get a shiver when she says my name. Things are not the same as they once were. We used to be everything to one another, but I'm to blame for that. She doesn't even look at me as she makes her way to the bar. With regret in my heart, I watched her. She requests a drink, but it's only a soda. She acts aloof, as if I were a complete stranger. And I can't express how much that thought hurts. Livia appeared behind her mother, glancing at me. She is so innocent and tiny. I try to smile, but she quickly pulls her face back. I let out a low laugh. It's funny because she's not really sure who I am. She simply doesn't know me. However, I will not allow her to remain that way. "Should we take a seat?" Sera's voice breaks the silence. She leads the way to a booth, puts Livia on her lap, and sits down after I nod. To keep Livia busy, Fiore, a bartender, brings over some toys. Sera waves her away and says, "Thanks, Fiore." The tension between us is strong as she returns her focus to me. The air is heavy, we both don't know where to begin, so we sit in silence for a while. I clear my throat. "What is her name?" Sera avoids my eyes and bites her lip. Then she lets out a sigh. "Livia Carvallo." She recently turned two. When Livia hears her name, her little face is filled with curiosity as she looks up at her mother. I see Livia's eyes soften for a second as Sera plants a kiss on her forehead. My chest tightens. I am her father. I missed these years, but I should be the one holding her. I had them stolen. "Down," Livia says in a tiny, naive voice. The sound nearly makes me crumble. My daughter is there. Sera shakes her head and gives a gentle smile. "Not now, sweetie. "Come on, shall we?" she murmurs. "All right," Livia gives a nod and resumes her toy play. Sera interrupts me just as I start to say something. "How are you doing?" My chest is getting tense. She isn't here to engage in small talk with me. Not after everything." Sera, I'm not here to engage in small talk. I require answers. How did you learn about her? I can tell I've touched a nerve when her eyes narrow. "You're genuinely curious? Enzo, are you sure you want to take that route? Like a curse, she spits out my name. It breaks my heart. We used to discuss everything, I recall. I used to be able to tell her anything, and she would listen. Now, it feels as if I'm conversing with an inanimate object. I go on, "After you left, your parents called an emergency meeting." "Why did you run when they knew you were pregnant? They received pictures. I apologize, Sera, for not believing you. I ought to have trusted you. She shakes her head and scoffs. Yes, it's a bit late to apologize. We have completed our task. Her voice stings and is sharp. She doesn't even give me a look. I make another attempt, breaking through the barrier she has put up around herself. "How are your parents doing? Are they okay? Her expression tightens. Are you concerned about it? Does the fact that I left because of you matter? Does it matter that I left because of you? I chuckle, but it stings. "Yes, it is important. Sera, they are aware of us. They are aware of what took place. Consequently, I received a shot in the leg. I gave her a direct look. Furthermore, they are aware that I located you two. You can't hide forever, but you can run. She clenches her jaw. "You believe that, as if nothing had happened, you could simply waltz back into my life and claim us?" I smile. "Sera, I'm not requesting your consent. I'm bringing you and Livia along. And I'll go to any lengths to ensure that occurs. My blood chills at the sound of Sera's sour laughter. "You believe that you can simply claim me? Do you truly think you can just come in and anticipate my return? Enzo, you're crazy. I am a Carvallo family member. There is significance to that name. Yes, when I drag you back screaming and kicking, you can tell your mother and father everything about it. They are aware of your escape. Whether you like it or not, you're accompanying me. Defiance flashes in her eyes. "That won't happen, Enzo. I will not enter your clubhouse. Livia and I will set up visitation when we return home. That's the matter. You won't bring her close to any of those women or your club. You can either respect that or leave and forget about us both. Even though I can feel my anger building, I control it. "Sera, you don't get to set the rules. I'm taking you both back. Your parents are already aware. They will meet us there in two days. I bent forward. Additionally, you won't be residing in the clubhouse. Your home is waiting for you. You have no other option. Sera glares at me as she suddenly gets to her feet, Livia in her arms. Her eyes are filled with an almost unbearable rage, as if a switch has suddenly flipped. Her smile is cold and calculated. Yes, you do move quickly, don't you? You jumped into a new relationship before we could even finish what we started. Are you sure I'll accompany you? Enzo, you've gone insane. I'll see you around. She walks away. Over her shoulder, Livia gestures to me with her small hand. I waved back, giving her a little wink. However, that doesn't make things any simpler. I will reclaim her because she is mine. I will do this regardless of Sera's feelings. I take out my phone and call the only person who can assist me in achieving my goals. This is the only person who can guarantee that Sera and Livia will accompany me back. I don't care anymore, even though I know she will despise me for it. When she answers, Fiore says, "Give her time." "This is the first time she has acted in this manner." "I can't wait any longer. I must have her back. She is a member of my family. She should be with me. Fiore lets out a heavy sigh. She is obstinate. Avoid putting too much pressure on her. Let me take care of it. I put my phone back in my pocket after the call ends. As I leave, I watch Sera's car fade into the distance. I immediately make my way to my bike, get on it, and start it up. Luca is waiting for me at the bar with a bottle of beer when I return to the Riders of the Inferno MC clubhouse. He laughs and says, "So, let me guess." "Go f**k yourself," she said. I inhale deeply. "Luca is my daughter. Her name is Livia. She is stunning. In shock, Luca spits out his beer. "Shit." I mutter, "Yeah, s**t indeed."
