Chapter 6 January 22 On my way to the bathroom before bed, I pass under the doorway to the attic. As always, I look up at what is becoming a distraction only surpassed by Charlotte and notice the door isn’t quite flush with the ceiling. A small crack of light runs the length of the opening. My impulse is to ignore it. My history test is fast approaching, and I need to read another chapter before turning in for the night.
