“Ausable, what am I going to do?” said a forlorn Anna, as they sat in the courtyard of his home. “I can’t leave you. And I can’t lose my boys.”
“I’d be happy to get you your own house here in Boston. Then we can still see each other and Will won’t be able to say anything about it. As far as he’ll be concerned, I would be out of the boys’ lives.”
“I don’t think we can do that soon enough. I need to find a place right away.”
“You can always stay at a hotel until everything is arranged.”
“A hotel is no place for two boys to live. Even for a short while,” she said. “No, I need another solution.”
“I have plenty of friends in Boston. I’m sure they would be happy to take you in.”
“I might feel like I would be imposing on someone I don’t know.”
