Morgana and Wilfred stood sadly as they waited for us in the doorway. Shelly and Sophie ran to her while Maya jumped in front of Wilfred, asking him to carry her. He laughed as he bent and took her.
“Thanks for this, grandma,” Sophie said as she looked at the onyx pendant of her necklace. “But what’s this for?” She asked, taking out the red pouch she gave a while ago.
“Salt,” answered Shelly, opening the small bag and tasting the contents inside. “Uncle Anton almost filled his pocket this morning with salt.” She rolled her eyes and pursed her lips.
Liam kissed the top of her head. “Give grandma and grandpa a kiss, then wait for us in the car.”
The three girls nodded, giving them kisses, and hugged their grandparents.
