Although she didn't look at me, I could see that her shoulders tensed and that her whole body became taut. With a controlled tone, she said softly, "I have no idea what you're talking about." I stepped closer and yelled, "Don't lie to me." I felt as though my heart may explode from the force of its hammering. "The opposing pack. Your engagement with them. Did you leave for that reason? At last, Lina turned, a façade of serene indifference covering her features. But she was easily identified by her eyes.
