Chapter 3“You don’t talk about your home life much,” Rob said one morning over breakfast. He felt certain he’d said the wrong thing the moment Lee’s gaze dropped. “Not that you have to,” he added. “Great eggs, by the way.” Saturday morning and no work meant Robert indulged his weekend treats. Today was bacon and eggs. During the week, he settled for something healthier. He was a good cook, but Lee fried better eggs, poached or scrambled them well, too. Robert considered forgoing his usual croissants and danishes Sunday to test whether Lee could cook a tasty omelette. Rob started the conversation hoping to learn more, to have something else to think about when he looked at Lee other than how it would feel to press against him.
