I had never fully been able to appreciate the rarity that was peace.
That was until our life had turned so hectic and now, I’d kill for peaceful omens like this. Where we did not have to really worry about the rogues or f*****g psycho stalkers that wanted to kidnap my mate at any turn.
And even though I knew that things were not over yet, I mean it would be so dumb to think that, Thorne, Nemo…. f**k whatever was still on the run.
I knew that he would be back eventually.
But not today.
Today was ours and nothing was going to ruin it.
Fingers crossed that nothing will jinx it though because Ayla deserved a break from everything. I was so proud of how strong she was but damn, she needed to just be at peace for a whole.
I wanted to do that for her.
