“Kai, help her, please, protect her,” he said while coughing violently.
“No, I won’t let anything happen to you, Nurse,” Kai screamed and more than 20 nurses and a doctor walked inside.
They were checking on him and putting an oxygen mask on his face.
Eric was looking at Kai with tears in his eyes. Kai wipes the tear that fell from his eyes.
“I am afraid, we need to find an antidote as soon as possible, he is getting weaker,” said the doctor.
“Doctor, I am afraid if we will fail to get the antidote, more of our kind will effect,” said Kai and walked out of the room.
There was a plan in his head and he have to do something before it was too late.

“Boring class, I have to leave so that I could meet Eric,” she thought.
“Professor, I just walk in,” said a voice in the middle of the lecture.
“Mr. Wilson, do you think it is time to attend class?” asked Professor annoyed.
She looked up, it was Xavier’s friend Liam Wilson.
He smirked.
“Where is your best friend, the other culprit?’ asked the professor.
“I am here,” said a deep voice.
Her gaze fell on the being standing next to Liam.
“Mr. Allen, do you think, it is time? I am so pleased finally having you in the class,” said the professor.
Xavier yawns and looked around the class.
“Unable to get up sooner,” he said while raising an eyebrow.
“Arrogant lair,” Amanda muttered but at the same time he looked at her and his blue eyes filled with anger.
“Did he hear me?” she thought.
“I can’t discuss this with you, Mr. Allen, you may go to your seat,” said the professor and he walked towards the seat next to her while Liam walked towards the seat where she was sitting the other seat with her was empty. He smirked and sat with her.
“I am Liam, we met that day,” he whispered.
She smiled.
“I am Amanda,” she said.
“I know,” he said.
She looked at him with wearing amazed expression.
“The thing you did last day was so cool,” he said.
She smiled.
“She was getting on my nerves,” she said.
“I loved the way you lash out at her,” he said, chuckling.
“Miss Amanda,” the professor snapped, staggering her.
“What is so important you are telling Mr. Wilson?” she asked.
“Professor I…” she tried to say something when the professor abrupts her in the middle.
“Poor performance in mathematics, see you got D,” she said while throwing test paper towards her.
She looked at the test paper, horribly.
“I almost failed,” she said with tears in her eyes.
“I am...I am…” she tried to explain. Eric used to teach her mathematics but since he was not here she failed.
“You are going to take classes from Allen,” said professor Helen.
“What?” said Xavier, loud.
She looked at him and gulped.
“Him, no professor,” she said.
“if you don’t want to get failed in the exam, you better learned it from him. He is a mathematic genius and you are lucky enough to have him in the class because he won the global test last year,” said Professor Helen.
“What, he did what? Him? Won global mathematics test? Him? When he got time to study?” she thought.
“Professor, I don’t have time for any dunderhead, I have to attend swimming classes,” he said, irritated.
“Hey, I am not dunderhead, you alligator,” she said, loud. Everyone in the class gasped.
Xavier clenched his teeth and was about to say something when Helen abrupt them in the middle.
“Enough, both of you. Xavier, you are going to help your poor fellow…” said Helen.
Xavier has opened his mouth to say something when Helen stops him again.
“And this will be your detention for coming late in the class, you are going to teach her for two weeks,” she said.
Amanda gasped.
“I have to bear him for two weeks?” she thought, annoyed.
Helen turned back to her table.
She looked at Xavier with anger but he was already looking at her as if he is going to eat her up alive.
“Now, class is dismissed. You guys can go,” Helen said.
She got up and walked out of the class.
She opened the locker’s door when someone shut it out.
She clenched her teeth and looked up.
“You did this on purpose,” he hissed.
“Did what?” she asked, angrily.
“Listen, I will not come and teach you,” he said, annoyed.
“Like I am dying to,” she said, annoyed.
“What on the earth you think of yourself, you useless, dump…” he was about to complete his sentence when someone abrupt their ‘little’ talk.
“Amanda,”
She turned, it was Daniel.
“Hey, Dan,” she said and rushed towards him.
“I hope our friend Xavier is not hurting our friend, Amanda,” he said, smiling.
“You better be friends with this thing,” said Xavier and punched the locker.
He walked out.
“i***t,” Amanda, muttered.
“Let it, he is always like this. Are you free tonight?” he asked.
“Yeah, why?” she asked.
“Carlos is throwing a party as his mother is away, so everyone is going there,” said Daniel.
“Who is Carlos?” she asked.
“You have not met him yet as he was on leave because he broke his arm while fighting. He will be back to school soon,” said Daniel.
“The other one in your group?” she asked.
He chuckled.
“I was going to visit my brother,” she said.
He smiled.
“Your brother?” he asked.
“Yeah, he is in hospital, he is sick,” she said, sadly.
A sadness appeared in his eyes.
“It’s Saturday and no visitors are allowed,” he said.
“What? How can it be? It does not happen anywhere,” she said.
“Things work differently here,” he said while bending on her.
His handsome face was so near. She found herself blushing for no reason at all.
She looked away.
“Fine, I will be ready,” she said and walked towards the exit.
He took a deep breath and fetched out his phone from his pocket.
After a few rings someone answered the call.
“Yeah, Kai, she won’t coming tonight,” he said and took a deep breath.
