The paper tore. Dominic stared into the distance.
But far away from Vaughn Corporation, I had no idea that my photograph with Marcus had just become another reason for Dominic Vaughn to lose his calm.
I was standing inside my office at Phoenix Group, staring at the city through the large glass window.
The morning had been quiet.
Too quiet.
After everything that had happened with the leaked East District project, I had expected another problem to appear.
Someone inside Phoenix Group had betrayed us.
Or at least, someone had tried to. But they had failed.
The information given to the media had been an old version of the project. Someone had either been careless, or another person had known about the leak and deliberately allowed the traitor to take the wrong file.
